I can buy either in a gallon from a local store.Im curious as to which 1 is better. If it is comparing apples to oranges then what is the benefit of 1 to the other?

Last Touch is supposed to be cut with water 1:1 and is not body shop safe. Final Inspection is not supposed to be cut with water and is body shop safe. There is also a price difference. Do you work in a body shop environment? If the answer is no, I recommend Last Touch.

I work out of my garage. What does Body shop safe mean to a consumer??

It doesn't really mean anything to a consumer who doesn't use the product in an environment where refinishing is being accomplished. Body shop safe products usually do not contain silicone which can result in imperfections in refinishing operations; silicone will not allow finishing materials to adhere to the surface being refinished.

ADS and the bottle say on cut it 1:1 for clay lube.so does it still need cut 1:1 for quick detailing purposes??

Last Touch or Final Inspection? Last Touch should be cut 1:1 regardless of whether it is used as a clay lube or quick detail product. Final Inspection should not be cut at all. I've always cut Last Touch and have never encountered any issues. Conversely, many people who have tried it undiluted report that it will smear.

I never knew to cut Last Touch, always have used it straight! Never any issues with smearing though.

Hehe, if you want any Last Touch I can trade you. I have ONR QD and Optimum QD so its just gonna be sitting on the shelf. I used Last Touch QD as clay lube in the past, worked pretty well. Final Inspection was too expensive to use as a QD so I kept it just for special occasions :)

I used it full strengh and it streaked. Then I cut it 1:1 with water, and streaking problem went away. But my favorite QD Optimum QD. It can be dilluted with water 3:1, 32 oz bottle makes a gallon of an awesome QD for $20. keep in mind that 16 oz bottles they sell are NOT CONCENTRATED. Concentrate is sold in 32 oz bottles, and gallons.

I just tried last Touch for the first time and I used it full strenth. I didn't have any issues with smearing at all. It was used on a dark blue metalic paint so smearing should have been obvious. Just for the record last touch is a great product and I'm not a big Megs fan either...:thumb:

I will cut it with what I have left in my current 16 oz bottle and see if I get better results!

I've had some smearing problems with last touch full strength when it's hot outside. If it occurs I dillute it 1:1. Great product, and as Cooter likes to say I wish I could bathe in it. Smell so gooooood.

34 is excellent and can be used to prime pads and wipe off polish residue during machining - Last Touch's silicone can cause issues with polishing. I have also found using Last Touch as a drying aid can leave silicones in your drying towels, that dont wash out at normal temperature washes, so reducing the effectiveness of drying towels over time....

Yes, Clark mentioned this a few times, I personally have never used the product so I don't know it it's true or not but I know Clark uses this product religiously. Food for thought

yep, I use LT a fair bit, however if I'm going to be polishing the car after claying then I will use plain water as clay lube - problem solved :)

I'm beginning to think QD are not good. I think that the silicone in them is altering my carnauba. It prevents the water from beading correctly, and it affects the longevity of the wax IMO from my experience. I think from now on, I'm gonna make a slip solution for claying of water and Shampoo Plus or Adam's Car Wash. and as for QD, well I may stop it. Just getting tired of loading my car with silicone after each wash, and plus I think it is clogging up my WW's

Last touch is the best. If you don't need a QD that is body shop safe then you cant beat Meguiar's Last Touch spray detailer.
