So before you read through the list, I've already got a load of MF towels and applicator pads. The Collinite is for that stuff. I wanted to get my wash steps fixed though, so I was wondering if there's anything I left out: This is the Grit Guard kit's product page This is the Uber Foam Kit product page What kind of wash mitt should I get? Microfiber, or wool, or something else?
I personally like to use the Grout Sponges from Lowes, super soft, sized perfectly for my hands and releases dirt into the rinse bucket very well. Holds a lot of water. I am not sure about the foamgun, it's all fancy and looks cool but it's definetly not a requirement, it's one of those nice to have but not necessary items. I'd look into some good shampoo and wheel cleaners/degreasers.
this is on my next order list http://www.detailersdomain.com/uberyellowwashsponge.aspx or this http://www.detailersdomain.com/ubergeninuewoolwashmitt.aspx i wonder if that is what Dave(DSMS) way playing with at the meet i have microfiber one now and it works good. got LC wash sponge but it seems to be too hard but havent tried it yet get this as well http://www.detailersdomain.com/gilmourbrassconnectorshutoffvalve.aspx
I think the foam gun package has a fire-hose on/off switch which should handle the same thing as that Gilmour fitting. I like that wash mitt (always been a fan of them) but I have more experience using sponges. Is it a user preference thing, or is one really better than the other (i.e. does dirt stick to a wool wash mitt easier?)
the mitt dave had at the meet was the wookies fist, sold by rubbish boys. and that wasnt his, its reflect's mitt.
Yes they do, Ben will ship your stuff out ASAP and gets here pretty quick. Have no reservations in ordering from him!
I have a pressure washer, but never felt that it was really "good" for the paint. I may end up using the pressure washer for rinsing after applying foam though.
Depends on the tips you use. I use the mist type for rinsing the car, the orbital one (can cut your fingers) for stubborn wheel wells. Anyways, I'd buy a foam canon/cam spray. Outputs super thick foam.
Yea, the foam gun you added to your cart only works with a normal hose. For a power washer you'll need either a: cam spray http://www.detailersdomain.com/camsprayfoamerattachmentfoamcanon.aspx Make sure you buy the right attachment for your PW. or foam cannon PA Foam Lance | PA Car Care & Detailing Products Attachment comes bundled with the cannon. I have the cam spray, the entire unit is made of heavy duty plastic, the foam cannon is full brass.
Duragloss 901 with foam gun, some good quality mf towels, detail brush(the ones you have), grout sponge, collinite 845 for wax and Duragloss 601+105 for sealant and a drying towel. Meguiar all purpose cleaner and wheel brush too. I don't think you will need to spend $55 for a bucket dolly system. Just get 2 buckets and 2 grit guards and a good pair of knee pads or osmething nice to knee on when you are polishing the lower panels. Flat fee shipping at DD right?
