It's about time for me to replace my pads in anticipation of spring details. I currently have a mix of ccs and lc flat pads, while i dont like the ccs I do want to keep to a flat pad unless some of the new designs are worth it...

I use a PC and rotary but this is for my rotary, i have a 3m uk backing plate which is like 5 inches? so i guess ill be looking for 5.5-6.0 diameter pads.

I also want to get4 inch pads for the tight spots, how do people like the gloss it backing plate for that size or do people just get a flat plate?

my polishes are as follows menz powergloss, menz sip, menz 106ff

so what do you all recommend?

Uber pads are pretty good. I am going to be expanding my Uber pad collection soon. They are flat, nice size and seem to cut and finish great.

I have the Gloss-It backing place and do like it. Is suppose to be a little softer than the 3m one. I have the 5.5" but the foam is the same. Some say that the foam backing makes it harder to cut on smaller pads and should go with a stiffer one such as the uber 3" one. I have the uber 3" and do enjoy working with that as well.

My favorites right now are the GI Pads. I do use a 3M blue or LC Black for finishing but GI for everything else. I have been playing with the LC Flat pads and am liking them as well but I find the size, thickness and firmness of the slightly larger GI pads more to my liking.

Some of my fav pads right now are the new LC cyan pads, they work GREAT with PO203s

I like them on flat open surfaces. Too firm on cars with a lot of curves, body lines etc.

True, i think if LC could get Kompressor pads under control, they could be really good, and by under control I mean pad size

What is wrong with the sizes they have, they can not be any easier to use as they are.

Whats your opinion on them Dana? I have them but honestly haven't used them that much. Any tips?

Ken, they are super easy to use and just glide along. There really isn't an easier foam pad to use. Tips, hmmmm- I got your phone number.

Uber pads are a great choice, and Phil offers several differnt size selections.

These pads are nowhere near similar. The Hydro pads are very firm. They work well, but I'd reserve them for flat open surfaces. LC Flat, Gloss it or Uber pads would be my recommendation for day to day usage.

Personally, I favor the 3M UK and the Uber pads the most. What I particularly like about them is their 75mm pads for small spaces.

I'm open to trying other pads but not sure I want to pay a pretty penny for them, at least not now anyways.

This. 3M or Uber are winners. I have 1 each of the LC hydrotech pads, but haven't had the chance to try them out yet. They are quite firm. Think LC orange firmness-wise.

I believe the menz pads are nice too, although I've never tried them.

    Has anyone tried RB's pads?
