Using 3m perfect cut III compound to cut and for 2 days I cant get it to work! before I can even work it in it dries and I cant get it off. Humidity a factor? The Cold? Did the passenger side and hood fine and a few days later I went to do the drivers side and I cant get it to work. Its not cutting very well and wont break down. It just is applied then dries

Weather can play a big part in polishes like 3m which are meant to be used in body shops where it is indoors. If there was a large change from when you first used it then yes it is probably the weather. How was the weather few days ago vs now? Colder, more humid?

ya my heater is going. Im inside but its still probably 60 or less. I just got a bigger heater in there now. I am waiting for it to warm up now and the polish is inside warming up

If you bump up FCP to fast first pass in rpm, it has a tendency to do just that.

put a pea sized amount on my pad spread had pc on 3 spread evenly on 2x2 area then increased speed to 5.5 and it instantly hazes on. Cant get it off. This method was successful a few days ago and now im having problems. Its frustrating. I wanted to get the paint correction done today but doesnt look like its gonna happen

Only time I had an issue like that is when bumping the speed too rapidly as Bryanjar mentioned. If it's not that then maybe your pad is all gummed up...Have you tried cleaning it?

I have also had good success mixing in a drop or 2 of 106FA with the FCP to add some extra lubrication :thumb:

I was gonna suggest that as well. Clean the pad well, wring it out and use it damp next time...ie clean it right before you use it. You should see better results right away. If your paint is full of shit (you'll see the pad getting dirty quickly) then clean it every panel...yes it's a p.i.t.a. but it'll be worth it for the results you'll get. BTW, what pad are you using? Ever try the LCC orange pad? I love mine.
