so recently i have been interested in picking up a glaze. I realized that i wont always have the time to knock out light swirls with a polisher, so I feel that I should try out a glaze.

adams brilliant spray glaze looks promising, but im not sure if it will givem me problems if i try to apply wax over it. I also have heard good things about CG ez creme.

so, between these two, which would you recommend and why?

    thanks

cg's ez-creme. It's a glaze, but it also has cleaners. It's compatible with most, if not all, waxes and sealants out there.

I think it acts somewhat different depending on the application. It doesn't hide swirls that well when applied by hand, but it tends to be really glossy. It tends to work better when applied with a DA (at least for me).

I say none of the above and go with BlackFire Gloss Enhancing Polish. It is more of a very very very fine polish with glaze fillers. Will help swirls more than the other two and you can top it with sealant. Use it on a DA like you would any other glaze and will get great results.

Out of the two you have i would go with CG, you got a PM coming ya way.

If you want the ultimate in filling abilities, go for Poorboy's Black Hole. The kinds of defects it can fill is simply amazing for such an easy to use product. However, I sold it in favor of EZ creme glaze as it is so easy to work with and leaves a glossy finish without darkening the paint.

Prima Amigo has a better filling ability than Black Hole and also corrects on top of that. I used it on a customers car last weekend. It smells better than Black Hole too, something about it haha

I suggest BlackFire Gloss Enhancing Polish too, it's a great product. Another great product is Autglym Super Resin Polish but IMO is not as friendly as BF. Also I heard good comments about PB BlackHole.

    +1 on the Blackfire GEP

it will hide minor swirls as well as cleaning the paint and adding gloss

i have alot of glazes/pre-wax cleansers.......but not Primo Amigo, i might give it a shot

edit! just found this review of amigo + epic - application of both sounds very similar to applying Blackfire GEP + WD

hiding ability looks right up there with auto-balm

im going back to a solid black daily soon, so i need to start stocking up and testing these swirl hiding pre-cleaners

I've had amigo and banana gloss, and while i do like them and recommend them, its expensive compared to cg ezcreme which does the same thing as amigo except i prefer the grape smell to baby powder of amigo

that was done with ezcreme and a white pad with my rotary.

im pretty sure blackhole is the same as ez creme the results are similar

yeh id imagine the CG/Poorboys connection would mean the glazes are very similar

i had Banana Gloss, used it only once and found it didnt hide anywhere near as well i saw online. Our local Prima distributor was happy to take it back, so i swapped it for the Prima Slick - which is a very good QD

so im a bit hesitant to run out and try the Amigo atm having had mixed experiences with their products

Blackfire GEP and Prima Amigo, used before or after each other or together at the same time are a magnificent combination
Glare Micro finish topped with Amigo is a colour shade booster like no other.

so you say that amigo has corrective abilities. how can it fill so much and correct at the same time.

Prima Amigo looks great, I didn't notice it having any correction abilities. I like it for its cleaning and the way it leaves the paint looking. I use Amigo or Danase Wet Glaze depending on my situation.

I put 3 layers of Banana Gloss on my car last weekend for a car meet and it filled most of the Body Shop swirls. It was the first time I could see my roof/trunk spoiler so clear since I've been lazy to polish them for a while...

Banana Gloss is advertised as a 'carnauba wax', so what did you guys top it off with? I talked to one of their representatives, and they advised against topping it with a sealant. I wonder if one can top it with Autoglym HD, since it contains both natural and synthetic waxes.

    Any experiences?

you should be able to top it with a wax since that since on top of anything. you can top it with a sealant, however, the sealant wont last a long time.

If you really want to use a sealant look at the synthetic glazes like chemical guys, danase, prima amigo (which i think fills waaay better than banana gloss), poorboys, etc
