SN or Austintacious?

So I'm in the middle of polishing a 2006 Impala SS. And I'm already thinking ahead to LSP. I really want to put a coat of SN on, but the o-ring on mine doesn't seal very well. By teh time I noticed this, the wax had already taken on a different consistency. The wax seems "sticky". It seems drier than it was before. So I'm a little leary of using it on a customer's car first.

I also have Austintacious. Thinking it will look fine too.

Speaking of Dodo Juice, can one use a sealant over Lime Prime Lite? I haven't tried it yet.

You can find O-rings at home depot or anywhere to replace it. The drying out should be fine and should not be a issue. You can contact Don @ dodo juice and he will take care of you. Just keep the wax in a zip lock bag.

You can not use a sealant over lime prime as it is a oily glaze and sealant will not bond properly to it.

Austintacious look pretty good IMP and has decent durability. If you do not go with SN I think your customer will be happy with Austin.

Oh, and here's a pic of the damage. Gotta bust out the wool pad for this. The owner religiously gets his car washed at a drive thru wash where they hand dry the vehicle afterwards with a scotch brite. Lots of deep stuff.

Do they have o-rings that big? I'll have to check. Dom told me via email that the orings were custom made for them. I've had it in a ziplock bag since I discovered how loose the cover was. I was pretty sure about not using a sealant over LPL, so I'll probably just stick with EZ Creme. EZ always looks good on black.

Hmm, you can prob find the o-ring online or something slightly bigger that will make a nice seal. Take the o-ring off and measure the inner diameter and the thickness of the o-ring and you can look @ online catalogs and find something maybe a little thicker. I am going to guess the o-ring will be in metric.

I tried using JS109 over LPL and they didn't seem to play well together. I was trying to use LPL as a glaze in place Ez creme. As agpatel mentioned, the LPL is a rather oily glaze, which I found to be a PITA to use in comparison to the easy ez-creme.

Sounds like your wax may have dried up some. Is there any separation of the wax from the sides of the container? I had this happen with a wax before when the lid wasnt sealed on right. I did still use the wax without any issues other than it was harder to remove.

I wish I had your problem, having to choose between two nice waxes. You can have the car though, that thing is hit bad!

Ive not cpme across any issues with LP or LPL shunning sealants as of yet.
They seem to pair fine with poorboys ex and exp, pair greatly with fk1000p also 9 though i know this is technically a wax based sealant )

If the SN has changed feel and look then leave it alone and get Dom involved.
Im sure austintacious will prove very succesfull and leave a warm wet glow to the freshly polished paint.

    BTW.............

Good luck with that one dude, look forward to seeing the end result.

not sure if you found the O-ring, might want to check @ local Heavy Duty hydraulic repair

shop(s). Hydraulic cylinder o-rings vary in multiple sizes. if you find a shop in your area

bring the O-ring for a sample/comparison, if its just 1 o-ring sometimes the shop will

just let you have it for free........
