I will be in the minority with this but in my experience, AW didn't last long for me at all. I think it will suit your needs of offering little protection after one application.

My next choice would be the Souveran Spray Wax. A great looking product, but with such poor durability I wouldn't consider using it as a stand alone product for protection. However, for just one week, it should give you enough protection for your finish, and not be too difficult to strip when you go back to complete your paint correction.

thanks for all your feedback guys

im super excited to get stuck into this detail on sat

its been a good 6 months since ive done any major correction work - but ive got all my pads, mf's sorted and ready for the task

ill post some pics while im working

    so far since picking it up 3 weeks ago ive only detailed/protected interior, wheels, and exhaust tips as follows;

interior: 1Z Cockpit on plastics, SV Leather Cleaner + PB Leather Stuff to condition (really impressed with the matt finish of PB LS, my matt'est conditioner for sure), CG Fabric Guard on alcantara/suede seat inserts and mats/carpets

    wheels: Z-AIO + 2x 476S - ill apply a coat of WheelWax next wash

exhaust tips - CG CWG + Opt Metal Polish

now i just have to decide what LSP to use

I agree, looks like a Diablo rim. BTW you can get the center caps on eBay for the Lamborghini, they come up every now and then.

    domino Welcome to Detailing

for those that have been watching

i started this (what would become) epic detail yesterday

i first clayed, which put quite a bit of marring in the solid black paint, and this was with me kneeding over the clay each panel, and not picking up much contaminants at all. Right then i knew, this paint is going to be super soft - great i thought! i can get away with 203S on a white pad and that'll be it

so i taped everything off, and went to the front guard with a white ccs and 203s. All the marring and light scratches came out with ease. I did only one pass, broke the polish down, then went back over each panel on a slower speed - 4 on the G220 (G110) and this finished down very nicely

i went over the panel again with 85RD and a black CCS but it didnt add much. In fact wiping off the 85RD was a real chore, it was super grippy and just wouldnt budge, not even with Menz TI. And all i did was put fine scratches back in the panel!! Ive never experienced this before with 85RD - could it be the sticky paint syndrome? 203S buffed off sooo easily, and almost zero dusting

so i decided to stick with the 203S and a white CCS, finishing down on a slower speed

i did the front guards, bumper, and half way through the roof when i realised how much paint is on this car, it took me about 4 hours all up, and i havent finished my bootlid or rear bumper yet - ill finish it off next weekend

what was slowing me down was how soft the paint is. I went through about 10 MFs because even the slightest dust particle was putting scratches back in the paint when i was wiping off the 203S

im hoping it was the halogens heating up the paint which was causing it to be so soft - so much for the Nissan "hard clear coat" sticker under the hood. Im going to have to be so careful washing, so ive gone out and bought new mitts and drying towels

i slapped on some OCW for protection and will paint clean (theres still some excess product on some panels because i was so scared to really get stuck into it) I figure a paint cleaner will remove that and the ocw next weekend

im leaning towards Lusso Revitalizing Creme and Lusso Oro wax atm. Its winter here in Aus, so im not going to bother chasing any last RDS yet, ill do that over summer.

my question to you guys, for that have used lusoo Creme, does it have any swirl hiding abilities. My correction is at about 90% id say, so itd be good if it could take that slight edge of the remaining light scratches
