Being a former S2000 owner, I still have aspirations of owning an NSX one day. Both cars were predomanetly hand assembled at the same plant in Japan. Never drove an NSX but one day I hope to.
here in Aus the price of a new F430 or Gallardo (around 400K+ USD) makes it pretty much impossible for a 28 yr old like myself to purchase, so the GTR value equation makes it alot more appealing the GTR cost me ~ 160K USD, so if i lived in US id probably have bought a GTR and a ZR1 to go chasing after the euro's on mexican freeways hahaha my dad and i are at polar extremes when it comes to cars, he has a warehouse full of the latest euro supercars, and it makes for interesting arguments and comparisons. Im hoping one day my warehouse would be full of cars i like, a mint R34 GTR Z-tune, original factory stock R32 GTR, NSX Type-R, EVO 6.5 Tommi Makkinen etc i dont really buy into the "intrinsic value" thing. Imo it died decades ago. Ferraris these days are mass produced (relatively) and shaped using design studies out of China, and lamborghinis are built with german donor audi and vw parts. Give me a mint 308 Quattrovalvole over any modern day Ferrari, and ill be singing intrinsic values as i stare down those individually cowled dials and run gears through that silver gate
