Looks like you struck through the clearcoat. What polish/pad did you use?

Let me get this right...you take 2 pictures on a tripod, one with and one without the hood and then you over lay the "hood" one with lowered opacity?

Yes, on a tripod. Take one pic with the hood open and one with it closed. Then you layer them and play with the opacity. Cool beans!

That is tight ken. How do you go about eliminating the portion of the hood that is up when the hood is open? I'm gonna try that one now lol.

It was easier to use the lasso tool to actually cut out the engine than it would have been to erase the erect hood. Cut out the hood, delete the rest of the car from that pic and then lay the pic with the hood down overtop. Its actually embarrassingly easy once you've done it. :)

Looking good Ken, always thought it was a pretty cool looking...did it once for my car but now forgot how to and where that image went.

    I'm probally highjacking, but......

I'm so new to photoshop that have a hard time spelling it!

I want to create a quick cut and past layer of my logo and verbage to overlay on all my photos (watermark type). AND I want to do this as a batch edit, where I state lower right corner and I can do that for ALL photos in one step.

Is my dream possible, and secondly can anyone teach me.....LOL

    Cheers,
    GREG

by the way OP I love that photo, clients would think its cool! A present for a detail, they would show it and share it with everyone......good advertising
