What is the difference between CG Z creme glaze and CG Wet mirror finish? What does each do that's different? Is there a difference ?
Not sure if my ascertation is correct but from my experience WMF will not provide filling abilities like EZ Creme. I like WMF on a car that needs no filling and I just want to magnify the gloss on it. I think it takes the gloss factor up more than EZ Creme does but doesn't give you really any filling capabilites if thats what you want. WMF is glossier and EZ Creme does more all around work for you, filling and shine! Both are really great products!
ez creme is a acrylic based glaze and has a LITTLE filling properties at most....and can be used as a base coat or a top coat over a wax or sealant to boost gloss ..very good product... Wet Mirror is a acrylic and glassplexix mix...i think Paul had to take the Syn Glas off the product description due to Glare saying it was to close to there trade marked product... any ways WMF is gloss inducer and very wet looking also...its used as a topper over a wax or sealant to boost the gloss and depth..its a very creamy product like mayo...I would say the life of it on paint is 3-4 weeks..the claim says longer but I guess weather plays a big part also... I got a sample of it in a order from Paul..used it and bought a gallon and split it with some one...I use it after a wash..i just wipe it on and buff off and it just amps the appearance...easy on and off and a little spreads a long ways....also pretty slick for the first 2 weeks and then tapers off after a few washes and rain... Ive been thinking, since these are "glazes" that are acrylic based and have so much more in terms of durability compared to a conventional glaze (going by what others say), can they realistically be called sealants?
not really dontsleeponit cause they are made to fill and make it look better not really for protection like a sealant.
What happens to overall durability if one of these glazes are topped with a good durable sealant? More (longer) protection then sealant alone, or less? I have EZ creme but havent experimented with it much yet.
play with it some more the stuff is awesome I've fixed some pretty bad cds with it and they read like new.
very interesting, good tip! Ive used the EZ creme on the hood and a panel or two on my car (silver metallic), but I didnt see a huge difference. Im going to try it again soon on my friend's dark blue bmw, after a good polishing. I just can't decide what LSP to use yet... I dont get to work much on other cars besides mine, so im excited haha
why dont you try the ez cream on the blue bmw with out a polish like just one panel to see how good it is. and wmf is better for just a gloss/wetness enhancer not really a filling product.
