Non-glossy exterior trim protectant/restorer?

I'm looking for advice on exterior plastic/vinyl/synthetic rubber protectants and restorers that leave a matte or satin finish. The higher gloss products just look wrong to my eye much of the time. In addition to the finish I'm interested in durability, non-streaking and ease of application. Putting aside for the moment the expensive and at least currently nearly unobtainium GTechniq C4 what have you tried and liked?

Also, what do you recommend for cleaning and prepping plastic, vinyl or synthetic rubber before applying protectants: APCs like Optimum Power Clean or P21S TAW, Isopropyl alcohol, 1Z einszett Plastik-Reiniger or something else?

    Thanks.

Swissvax Plastic Wash, Swissvax Protecton or Protecton Matt

Optimum Leather Protectant is nice for trim, plastic and the like. Don't let the name fool you, it will absorb nicely into a variety of materials, leaves a matte finish and is fairly economical. Their Opti-Bond product probably would be more durable on exterior surfaces but does leave a shinier finish.

Opt power clean and IPA are my go-tos for cleaning this type of material. Pre-wow is another product I have been wanting to try for this purpose.

I like 1Z Einszett Vinyl Rubber Care and Protectant; I hate shiny exterior trim too! this is nice stuff and has a nice lemony smell.

I've had great success with 303. As long as you buff it off you will not be left with a shiny look. And as for cleaning the trim I would go with P21S TAW. It already comes diluted right out of the bottle which is a big plus.

Just got some Pre-wow but haven't used it yet. Been following Octaneguy (aka Richard) testing it and eagerly waiting for it. It with Black Wow should do just what you're wanting.

You mentioned Einzett Deep Plastic Cleaner - I have used this a lot and it is a very good cleaner, that will leave a satin finish by itself on trim. This stuff will clean things that you think are impossible.
It also works very will using a Mr Clean Magic Eraser - just be careful, as the Magic Eraser is a little abrasive, and can remove texture if rubbed too hard too long.
This stuff is my go -to product if I dont use my VX5000 Steamer first..

Meguiars Ultimate Protectant, leaves a moderate gloss, somewhat waterproof (unlike their other trim protectant lineup).

Another one that worth a shot: Optiseal... but too costly to use it on all trims

carpro PERL. More UV protection than 303 AP and nice satin finish.

I agree. I also use 1Z Einszett's Gummi Pflege too.

BW and 303 are my dressings of choice. BW takes longer to get right, but well worth it IMO. 303 is just plain easy to use and looks great!

303 and The Einzett products are excellent, for the cowling in my car I also like Adam's In and Out spray
