    Hi guys,

Thanks for taking the time to view another thread from us:thumb:

The paint on this was pretty bad as it was covered in deep random scratches and had been machine polished not too long ago by someone who obviously did not know how to machine polish properly .

On some panels I was able to achieve 85-90% correction whilst in other area's it was 75-80% as some of the defects found on the car were to deep to safely remove and/or in area's that couldnt be machined heavy as paint was thin. Whilst there was some random scratches that probably could have been wet sanded out it wasnt worth compromising the level of paint in my opinion for that little bit of gain in correction as it may have resulted in that too much paint was removed to allow future polishing if it was ever needed. Its all about paint preservation !!!

Few before and after shots during the paint correction stages

Once all the machine polishing were complete Swissvax Cleaner Fluid was applied and removed and then a coat of Swissvax Divine was applied and left on whilst I did some of the smaller jobs.

Exhausts were polished with Autosol and then sealed with Blackfire Metal Sealant
    [IMG]

Tyres were dressed with Swissvax Pneu and wheels sealed with Wolfs Chemicals Rim Sealant

And the end result after wiping down the paint with Swissvax Quickfinish left us with this....

All these years later and that is still a damn sexy car. Great job Jay!

Nice work. Yeah, the Lotus designs to my eye are all timeless (with the possible exception of the europa). Only thing about the Espirit is fighting the urge to drive them into the ocean and see if they turn into a submarine.

Very nice. The Esprit is becoming a fairly affordable exotic and as others have noted it is still a great looking car.
