Being a Swissvax detailer in the UK this is a product im interested in, but I dont know too much about it. I have heard some amazing claims on what it can do and tests carried out etc.....But wanting to users own opinions, not really the application stage as i know about that, with the IR lamps etc, but more down to the sheeting and durability of the product. I know its widely available throughout the world and not in the UK, hence my question. Thanks for any input Robert
I have not seen much talk about it as it seems to be rare even in other parts. I do have a pot and have used it a few times. I say it is very close to Shield but just hyped up and supercharged. I did not use the IR lamps, just applied and let it sit in the sun for some time and made sure the panels where warm before application. Durability i got a good 4-5 months with it sitting outside 24/7 in the rain and snow and was still looking pretty decent afterwards even after not washing the car for a few weeks. It sheets more than it beads but beading is tight, but as soon as you start to drive the water sheets right off. Let me know if you have anymore specific questions...be glad to help out.
Thats interesting on the durability as i have had 8 months out of Shield, I have heard during testing (only heard this but not see anything to confirm this) that the durability went into years, but required the IR lamps etc...
I would not have doubt thtat it would last longer but after the 5 month mark in the winter here it was starting to show deterioration, was there still protection left sure but was it at its peak no. This would be with salt and winter gunk over the car and not being washed often. I could see it going into the 8 month range if you are not particular about properties being the same as when applied. Over the same time period it out preforms Shield in cleaning and sheeting properties.
SV USA has a few pots... i was thinking about picking one up but the IR lamps have been holding me back...
