Well, since some of you wanted to see my grand old Audi, I will post some (quite a few, but I know you like it) pictures, as I finally got around to seal and wax it:applause2: MIND YOU: this car has no CC, and has a bit of rust (that showes), so take it for what it is: an old, yellow car! I love this car, it`s the most fun I`ve ever owned, but it naturally has to look good, too:mounty: Unfortunately, I have no before or during pictures...:sorry: Products used: Wash: ARO CWG Ulti-mit wash mitt Riccardo clay (Pinnacle bodywork shampoo as lube) Correction: Menzerna PG Menzerna SIP Menzerna 106FF Pads: not quite sure, since they`re not mine Flex rotary LSP: Jetseal 109 (if you would call this lsp...) CG 5050 Limited Series Concourse Paste Wax Pictures! Enjoy, hope you like it! Again, I`m sorry I don`t have any before or during pics...
Sorry about the bad picture quality, they were taken with my phone cam... Hope you don`t mind ALL the pictures:hippie:
Very good work Brage! Love how the lights plays with the paint, looks superb! The color of the car remindes me of a great drink, lol. Love the beading picture to!! Nice work :mounty:
And some more:applause2: Nice weather we have, perfect for some quattro FUN! And a couple of videos of the sheeting:applause2:
Thank you, Pirex! As you and I have maybe discovered, this is not the perfect wax for my car, but we will continue trying:drinking2:
:applause:this is a great finish.. i love the color on your car.. oh! nice neighborhood you got there.. great view
Unbelievable! I don't only love the S2, but MAN OH MAN, look at that gorgeous scenery!!! GOD'S COUNTRY!!! Imagine smoking a 5 kilo BRISKET whilst sipping on a brisk lager on a NICE SUMMER'S DAY there!!!
wow I don't know which is more beautifull the vehicle or the view. The vehicle is gorgeous and well maintained for a 17year old vehicle :worship: question are the head lights on that vehicle factory? They look great. Oh another question, what did you mean about the wax? You'r not happy with it? Lovely pictures and there is never enough pictures :thumb: Thank you for sharing with us and what a view, you and pirex both have great views wow :what:
I don`t have to imagine, that`s the best part!: But seriously, I LOVE the scenery in Norway, especially in this county. Yes, these headlights were available as option on the S2. They are the same as for its big brother: the RS2. The rear lights, on the other hand, are not "stock", but original Treser lights. Love`em:headbang: What I meant about the wax, is that I really don`t see the depth and shine I would like to. As we speak, I am awaiting a new wax from Zymol, to see if its better on my car. But there is nothing wrong with the CG5050, I have used it on a 2007 VW Passat, and it looked great! You see, the problem is that I have to take a reading on my paint, to see if I can get rid of the deeper scratches (that you don`t see, of course). If not, I will have to repaint it...
I know, I know... You do know there`s a 6 hour drive between us, right?? Or maybe 2,5 with the S2 I will be there, ASAP!
Beautiful car. Great work on the wax! Oh, and if you ever feel like selling your car... make sure you're willing to send it off to California. After 17 years in Norway, I think it deserves to a nice retirement home out here... Oh, and it'll be happy aside of my '01 S4.
Thanks As for selling it to the US: you couldn`t handle the prices we have over here... This one goes for about 25-26.000 US $ here in Norway...:crasy: And it`s an import... Hehe... I wouldn`t mind an `01 S4 myself, but again, the pricetag on these cars over here are SICK...:shakehead:
Wow pretty shiny for NO CC! Still looks like a modern car after 17 years! I was going to say dont let Pirex see this, but too late
Man that's a nice Audi. Never seen one here. Great to see what car is on the other side of the pond . Great work! Your car is older than mine but yet yours is in way better condition .
Yeah, I`m pretty happy with the result, based on what I had to work with. If I keep it long enough, it will get repainted, this time WITH CC! Yeah, Pirex has seen this since I got it, so too late. :itsok: I know, Ketil. I know.:bla2:: Thanks! I like it:applause2: Yes, it doesn`t seem to be overflowing with more classic Audis in here. Bummer...:shakehead:
