You don't know the half of it... I've been going for a few years now and the number of REALLY nice cars with REALLY swirled paint is amazing. The GTO was flawless and everyone was just floored by it, but when you try to explain to the others that its not that difficult to have swirl free paint they don't believe you. A number of guys there try to tell me that swirls come from using a machine, not from washing. At that point you just kind of have to smile and nod b/c theres not convincing them otherwise. There were a few... I tried to get pics of everything, but its so huge even with a week there I didn't get snaps of everything I wanted too... plus going to the other auctions just adds to the insanity.
Great pics!!!! Thanks Dylan! The swirling drives me mental as well. Aside from Spongebob and ICarly. The auction shows are what me and my daughter watch together. SHE is now pointing them out and throwing slippers at the the tv when she see a great car with not so great paint.
HAHAHA! Thats great. As bonkers as it makes me, there is one big upside... it shows how limited the general car cultures knowledge of paint care and correction is, meaning guys like us will still be able to continue to provide skilled detailing services, sell products, and educate consumers for years to come.
