Well, the story starts with me going with a trunk repaint, and rear bumper repaint. (bumper was scraped and trunk was keyed)

Appearantly, the Body Shop thought it necessary to repaint the arches over the side windows to match the new paint on the trunk...along with a bonehead urge to buff out the sides of my car to blend the new paint????? How could they not see that it was already perfect? Body shops cant buff (especially with rotaries...tons of swirls and holograms....oh shat I had my work cut out for me!)

HERE IS THE DAMAGE THEY DID!

all corrected using Menzerna PO83(green CCS on Metabo), finished out with Menzerna PO85rd (white CCS on Metabo speed 2 breaking it down until it about was invisible)

I actually found that I was getting ALOT better with the PO83 (a.k.a. SIP)
If I worked it down like I did the 85rd I got alomost zero holograms...menz is crazy!

actually, I bought that for my dad when he had a Porsche. Its a Porsche Car Care kit that came in the case...the products sucked...tore out the liner and voila! locking case for my waxes!

Wow, that is looking jolly good! Did you ever ring the bodyshop and get upset with them about hacking up your paint?

very nice save on the car... I can't belive that a body shop would try and "blend" the car to match.... LOL!!!

I agree, I would show them this thread and show them how it's really supposed to look, then bill them $100 an hour
