Title says it all. Got some when it came out but never have gotten around to correcting so I could put it on and trying to spur myself into action on it.

    JK, I'm curious myself though.

Yeah, I remember on the old PAC forum, where he ( my old friend Dave Fermani) first posted this up. Been 20 months already?? Wow, I better change the Calendar and stuff :) :) :)
Im getting more interested as the years go by, but really wanted to see results out awhile, before I put my reputation on the line and offer it to my Clients.
Personally want to be real sure of how "workable" the product is after awhile, and it needs the normal maintenance from putting the ____________ on top of the hood, roof, and trunk, etc..
Having not read of anyone ever having to compound it off, to correct yet, I still want to wait a little longer. I am sure that will be one of the 1st questions Clients will ask - what happens if you have to repair deeply into the material??
So come on guys - break something, so I/we can learn from it..

Chris at Optimum -- did your company do some durabilty testing, product removal testing, etc., along the way of the development ?? What tests were run and what were the results? Pictures??

Thanks Ken, for starting this - there are still un-answered questions out there I believe.. Also would definitely charge extra - how much extra is still undecided -

I have 3 of my own vehicles I might consider putting this on to start...

Like you Dan, I have been waiting for results like this before offering to my clients. As far as durability, it sounds pretty promising given Davids wash program. Any other LSP would be done in 8 weeks. I am doing a new Smart Car with it shortly and will post it.

Between David Fermani and a few others I trust I finally picked some up. Plan on using it on our van then offer it to customers

The longest I have it on any vehicle is a little over a year. It is my Mother's car(as it was the test subject for applicaton) and is holding very strong. It only sees proper washings and still has no swirls which I doubt would be the case if it wasn't coated. It still looks bright and vibrant as the day it was put on. I have had to do some heavy tar removal using OPC straight and Prep-Sol. Tar is definately released much easier due to the coating but still requires elbow grease. The areas that were hit with the OPC and Prep-Sol still bead just like the rest of the vehicle and the coating was unaffected by those chemicals. To this point I am very happy with the product and it is holding up to Optimums claims. one thing will say that it is not the slickest product I have used but it suprisingly releases dirt and grime rather easily. Optimum Car Wax will boost the slickness if that is something you are looking for but it doesn't last very long on top of the coating.

I now have at least 4-5 years of experience with Opti Guard and Opti Coat 2.0. If you guys have any more questions, I'd be glad to help you. David Fermani was using Opti Guard which is the pro version and if you guys are going to be installing this on customers cars, I would recommend using the pro version as it goes on in a thicker film because it's a higher concentration. You can contact me directly if you have interest in the pro version because it is not sold through distributors and requires a detailing business and a signed waiver. The consumer version still has all the same attributes but allows a longer dry time during application and is easier to remove if you goof.

Have had it on my ride for a year now. Still beads and sheds water like the day I applied it.
