been playing up the idea of incorporating glazes into my maintenance regime, wonder how it would fit into my process onr polish glaze os paste wax with the 2nd and 3rd stage of polish or glaze, I am not sure if they are almost the same thing. I do not have a pc , and will do all by hand. so maybe polishes with corrective abrasives might not be for me, I might just go for something that fills ? what polishes are good with this ? heard the 1z paint polish is quite good too. but also looking at the pics of those who have used glazes, they look good too. do glazes have fillers too ? lastly, with the pete 53 paste, is it a wowo method or gotta leave it to haze and for how long before wiping it off ? thanks !
If you are doing this all by hand, personally i would just skip right to the glaze after claying and then seal/wax...polish by hand will do very little correcting and the glaze will hide some of the imperfections
If your doing by hand I would go this route..... 1...wash... 2...clay..... 3....a paint cleaner to get deep cleaning of the paint...>>>>megs Color X...Megs Deep Crystal paint cleaner....Klasse AIO....DG 501....any of these will deep clean the paint by HAND.... 4...for filling and protection you could use NXT 2.0...heard it does a nice job of filling and is better than the first version as far as lasting....or you could use Megs #7 glaze and top with #26 wax...both will fill and look good also... I believe CG's glaze has fillers, but others on the forum would now better about it than I. I use Danase Wet Glaze and love it. It is very easy to apply/remove, and does not contain fillers. Just make sure whatever glaze you go with is compatible with your LSP.
Pete's 53 is a wowo paste wax, 50/50 paste wax can be put on the whole car (a thin coat) then buff with mf towel.
both the CG and danase glaze have little to no filling..wish it did...` The danase glaze is a CG product also...CG's had a lite cleaner in the glaze over a year ago..but the since removed it..so it has no cleaner and no fillers as told to me by Paul....it may fill some very mirco marring at most..but its no cover up product...same with danase glaze...they are now both formulated the same... NXT will hide more than the glaze will also the CG and Danase glaze is compatible with any sealant or wax.. as long as its used as a based for the wax you will be fine....on a sealant you can use under it and over it with no problems...
