Look at the top of the first pic...paper weight, LOL. lmGTO showed this to me at our meet and you could seriously hurt someone if you threw it at them.
Here's a bit of reading for you as written by Dom Mysteries of the Carnauba Trade Part 1 - Fun With Volume - Detailing World and Mysteries of the Carnauba Trade Pt 2, Fun with weight - Detailing World
Interesting reading and I agree. All things being equal, and using the same perhaps inaccurate language, this unit of measure at least gives us a common language and a way to compare the Carnauba content in waxes, simply for the purpose of knowing which one has more, even if an inaccurate description (e.g. Crystal Rock 76%, Divine 60%, Vintage 61%). So, does anybody know what this funny inaccurate number is in Supernatural? I am asking just out of pure curiosity and because recently I've developed a sick interest in higher end waxes. :shead:
To be honest I wouldn't let the % by volume influence your decision to buy SN. What I would do is purchase the sample pot and form your opinion from there. Just yesterday I tried Rubbish Boys OE wax and I'm going to break down and purchase a full pot because I was please with the results I got. Now if it doesn't rain tomorrow I'm going to put another coat on.
:thumb: I completely agree. My question was not for the purpose of deciding on a purchase, just curiosity.
I asked Dom how much and he told me it depends on the measurement. Zymol/Swissvax Measuring (IE Mythical and False) he could fudge the numbers enough to have 70% True, wet volume measuring would be in the high 30%'s. By comparsion Scott Kennedy told me the chemical make up of Royale, and it was roughly 28% carnauaba wax by wet volume. By weight it dropped to about 20%. I have also been told it is LOADED with silicone oil. When I tried to press Dom from Dodo he simply stated that he cannot give me an accurate assement because of the different measuring (non standard) techniques. He did assure me is as much (more) then any product they tested and its more then enough to compete with other high end waxes. My first impression is that SN is as good as any wax I have used.
