    Lets all chip in...

What's the most expensive car you have ever detailed?

What's the coolest car you have ever detailed and why?

For me, the most expensive car I have ever detailed was a 18,000,000 dollar 250 GTO Ferrari from Canada.

The coolest car I ever detailed was Luigi from the movie Cars. It was the actual model car used for the making. That or Marylin Moonroe's Fiat Supersonic by Ghia (I found an old filter/pipe for a cigarette what hard lipstick on it under the seat. I don't know if it was hers but apparently the car sat in storage for a long time after she sold it and I don't think women smoke cigarettes out of those long filters anymore).

    How about you guys?

Hmm to date the most expensive car and coolest car I've detailed is my friend's 70 GTO w/an LS2 transplant. There's just something about the curves of the classic cars that I just love.

Bentley Continental GT (done it 3 times now), nothing too crazy, not many exotics in my area. It's not a garage queen by any means, and has a few dings and a scuffed wheel or two, but the paint responds well to the polishing I am able to give it in the allotted time and the quality of everything is top notch.

1955 Cadillac Eldorado was the coolest car I've done (same customer as the Bentley, actually), I don't think I've ever seen fins on a car as large as they were on that thing. Bright red, a spare wheel on the back and about an acre of chrome (the bumpers were like 100% chrome and stuck out about a foot on each end of the vehicle) made everyone that drove by stare.

The customer isn't really interested in a full correction detail on either of them (I wouldn't want to on the Caddy anyways, slight paint failure and it doesn't fit in the garage), but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The most expensive car I've done (and still do) is a Mulliner edition Bentley Azure. New in 2003...just under $600,000. As far as the coolest, I dont know. My friends 92 GTi(now 500hp)is pretty cool. I did a 700hp Mitsubishi Eclipse a while back, the Freightliner Sport Chassis I do isn't exotic or big hp, it's just cool. I have a client building 1200hp 66 Beaumont. I'm sure that'll be nutty. Was supposed to be 1800hp but he figured it was a little much for the street! I've been very lucky with the cars I've worked on.It would be hard to pick just one.

Most expensive for me was an '08 Jag XKR Portfolio, but this will soon be eclipsed by an '09 M-B SL600 and then by an '09 Aston Martin DB9.

I guess that would have to be coolest car I've detailed to date as well. Of course, there's nothing like detailing your own car and getting compliments on it throughout the week.

This is my neighbors boat. I started detailing it two years ago. Just sold it and has a newer faster one on it's way. I believe it's something like is 14th Donzi.

The most expensive I've detailed was a few BMW Z8's when they were in town for the recent Concours D'Elegance in Monterey, CA.

The coolest car I've detailed probably has to be the new Subaru lineup for 2009 which we detailed them for a press event/release and the Passat CC Concept car at the Concours D'Elegance.

Hmm, did your dad have his car detailed at the hotel he was staying at? We were at the Marriott detailing cars for VW and all those Z8's happened to be staying there with us. Some of the Z8 members saw us detailing in the garage and asked for us to detail them, hehe. There were some nice Z8's there though!
