Not all of us are privileged to work in an enclosed, sometimes air-conditioned, environment and we must deal with the element when detailing. For those of us who detail in the sun and what other conditions Mother Nature throws our way, I thought I'd get a comprehensive list going of what products are safe to apply/use in the sun, whether it be stated on manufacturer's directions or from personal experience/recommendation.
    • Poorboy's World entire product line (it seems AFAIK)
    • Optimum Hyper Compound, Compound, Polish, Car Wax
    • Danase entire product line
    • Duragloss entire product line
    • Zaino
    • Pinnacle
    • Chemical Guys Scratch & Swirl Buff
That's the only one off the top of my head that I can think of right now as I'm in a hurry to ONR my car for a wedding I'm going to, LoL. Feel free to chime in and I'll update the original post appropriately. :thumb:

Denzil, I can tell you that from my experience, Menzerna IP isn't much good in the heat. It got all gummy on me and I had to stop - turned the consistency of half-dry Elmer's glue.

Might be better with a rotary? I was using a PC at the time.

Zaino's stuff does pretty well in the sun.

My advice is to get an EZup shelter. Even if you only get a 10x10, you can do the front half and then the back half of the vehicle and stay out of the sun. Solve the original problem. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I have one myself but not everyone can truly afford this luxury. Actually, it would be even better to have two E-ZUPs and put them right next to each other to have a makeshift 10x20, hehe. Just have to make sure you have the appropriate weights to hold them down. :giggle:

I've got a steel 10x20 and two 10x10 aluminums and yes they need to be tied down at times. I run tie-downs from the canopy to the car frame.
