Well Ben you told me that OE had a knack to being applied and it turned out phenomenal for me so thats why I didn't blink when you recommended Auto Balm! And if you guys are considering any Bilt Hamber stuff Ben is the best to work with. Most of the stuff I buy now comes from across the pond thanks to Ben and Pirex! Their customer service and exceptional products and advice keep me coming back!

Thanks HPIA4v2! I really appreciate the compliments and good to know you get the same kind of findings that we do! I guess we are all finding some great products huh! As far as OE goes the only thing I have found that even remotely beats it is Vintage and Vintage gets the nod simply because of ease of use.

Put it to you this way when I put OE on my wife's Volvo she would go on and on about how great the car looked. Mind you she knows nothing about detailing and had never really commented on her car before. Well when it was time to reapply wax I had some Vintage so I put a coat on and got her to come out and look at it and she said "It looks great, but the Rubbish Boys looked better", and with that she turned and went back in the house! I stood there with my mouth open:yikes:. Just that she knows the name of the wax she loves really says something about the quality of OE.

You are just simply lusting over that jar of OE aren't you!! You might as well get ready and pull the trigger on some when the weather gets nice again in Detroit!!

JL - with the OE application, is it really necessary to use the heated applicator method ? what about just straight up like that ? would it be too hard to get it transferred onto the pad ?

i would imagine the weather conditions here would be like say Miami, maybe the wax might be a bit softer here ? hmm...tempting

I had no luck at all without using a heated pad. If you like to wax by bare hand method then the sheer friction from you rubbing the wax together and the body heat get the oils going and make it easy to spread. I hate waxing with my bare hands so I had to figure a way to get a foam applicator to generate the same kind of heat so I heated it with a hair dryer. I have never read or seen where anyone had success using OE straight up with a foam applicator. Its really not that much effort and it makes application a breeze!

You got it 10-20 seconds and you are golden. I also take a plastic spoon and scrape some of the wax to the center of the jar to get all the applicator covered.
