I'm looking for a product which effectively loosens road grime (namely bugs and tar) which frequently bond to the front and lower panels of vehicles. I need a product which can be applied via a spray bottle since I don't own a foam lance. I have ruled out P21S TAW in favor of a more economical product; I have heard good things about CG Strong Wash and Poorboy's Bug Squash. Any recommendations? Thanks, Brandon
I would recommend Poorboy's Bug Squash, it works great on bugs. I still favour P21S TAW but I agree it's not very cheap. But I would have to go with Poorboy's Bug Squash :thumb:
I find Poorboys Bug Squash to be a fantastic product. I dilute it 1:1 with water and it does a great job loosening up road grime, tar (although it's not GREAT for this) and bugs!
Hi Brandon, I'm not trying to hi jack your thread. I'm looking for the same thing as you. thanks... What about TARMINATOR BUG & TAR REMOVER FROM STONER...Has anyone have an opinion on this???
Well I use it full strength, I've never tried diluting git though  Well I used to be a huge Tarminator fan, it does work but the thing is that it it takes for ever to remove tar. It does work, it just takes way too long and I found you have to use lots of it repeatedly. But that's just my opinion.
Is the CG Strong Wash a citrus or solvent base? Essentially, what I would like to do is pre-treat affected panels, address the wheels, and then return to power wash treated areas. Is CG Strong Wash ideal for this application? Additionally, is this product at least semi-effective at tar removal? I saw a product formulated to remove road grime and black streaks from RV's, I wonder if this product might also be suited for pre-treatment? I appreciate the valuable feedback provided thus far; please keep it coming! Thanks, Brandon
Duragloss has a bug/tar remover that you can get by the gallon for a reasonable price. They also sell an RV black mark remover that I have never used or heard a review of, so I can't advise on that one. Their bug/tar remover is good; I use it full strength.
Hmm, I haven't really found my go-to product for this situation yet but it looks like I'll have to try some products out.
