I wanted to know what kinds of products you guys use on yourself, such as shaving cream, soap, razors, etc. etc. I have that Axe Detailer Tool which I like a lot. I'm tired of using all the same basic products, it bores me. :waiting2:
Funny you say it like that. I just started hitting the weight bench again, since I can't go out and detail as much since it's winter. i told my girlfriend that since I can't really detail my car over the winter, I'm going to detail myself instead But to answer your question, I use real basic stuff for toiletries. Old Spice High Endurance pit stick, Gillette shaving cream and aftershave lotion, Johnson Baby powder on the boys, and Abercrombie Fierce for sure-f*ck. 1 spray only on any cologne. Girls have a more sensitive sense of smell than us.
Fierce is basically the S**T. I wear Lacoste Cologne Alot too, I use Axe Bodywash and the Axe Detailer, but my main form of excercising is jogging, followed by detailing haha. as far as what i use to shave, gillette mach 3 with gillete shave gel. then clothing? Locoste jeans and slacks, with polos, button downs and sweaters being my main staple
hmm...good thread. Shave: Gilette Fusion Power, Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood Shave Cream, C.O. Bigelow pre-shave oil. Molton Brown Black Pepper Body Wash Murad Facial Cleanser Scent: Summer = Kenzo Fresh Winter = Hermes Equipage Hair: Some Japanese shampoo / treatment I just got (forget the name) Bumble and Bumble Sumo Wax / Sumo Tech Bumble and Bumble Styling Creme I'm sure a bunch of other stuff...
Shave: Gillet fusion Gillet fusion Shaving cream Shower: Paul Mitchell hair products Axe Kilo or Temptaion body gel Show: Garnier Fructis Gel Chic, Coolwater, Euphoria.....differnt every day and season. Teeth: Listerine love the burn:devil:! Crest Pro clean Some "pulsonic" toothbrush J&J Dental floss :applause2: This is a good topic :applause2:
I like to dry with a ww towel Blow out the cracks with compressed air Shave with need for speed (Gillette) Wax with supernatural (Adidas) and buff to a beautiful shine with a fluffer (ya its true) and for bring out the flake, a little Optimum Gloss enhancer (Hummer)
Hair: Cut close with clippers once a month (#1 attachment) washed with suave green tea shampoo Shower: Axe or Old Spice Endurance (I just got the axe detailing tool so I still have to try it) Hands washed with softsoap cucumber-melon, scrubbed with a good nail brush Pits: Axe or Speed Stick Teef: Crest with scope Oral-B teefbrush Listerine Smell Good: (not used too often since I work 2 jobs 7 days a week) Zuhr Lucky You Mark and some other cologne the wifey got from Avon (not bad actually) Powder the boys sometimes Spray the groundpounders with Tinactin during the winter. Mug: Gillette Mach 3 (can't use anything with more than 3 blades, tears up the face) Barbasol Shaving Creme with Aloe/Vitamin E Nivea after-shave balm (unscented) Also keep the eyebrows and pits trimmed. Don't wanna look like I got Buckwheat in a headlock or have eyebrows like the stadium announcer from Gladiator.
Let's see what I use considering I made the thread... Shave (with procedure) Shower(hot) first and then lather up. I use Aveeno shaving cream because I've heard it's the best over the counter. Gillette Fusion 5 Blade, shaving with the grain with no pressure(let the blade do the work). Rinse, relather and go against the grain using the same no pressure technique. This is one of the best strategies for no razor burn or irritation. Shower I just use basic Axe or any other soap, but thinking of switching to Dove 1/3 moisturizer for the winter where skin becomes dry. Shampoo I use Suave 2 in 1 or Garnier Fructis. Axe Detailer and separate wash cloth for my face with a facial cleanser(looking for suggestions) Mouth-Crest Paste(I feel it does a better job than gel, gives it an extra scrub), Reach Toothbrush, Listerine Cool Mint for after, Crest Cool Mint floss. Deodorant- Arrid Extra Dry (I hate gel deodorant, irritates me) Scent- Depends what I'm doing. Easy stuff, Axe Essence. More formal, Curve. Hair- Garnier Fructis Surf Hair(good hold, natural look, less than 5 bucks)
That would be cool. I'm still waiting for Nica to come in and tell us about the 55 gallon drum of shampoo he has :afro:
With my happy ass being married for 7 years, no real need for anything too fancy day in and day out. Shaving: - Fusion razors - Edge gel Hair: - Whatever big thing of shampoo they have at Costco (Dove or Pantene) - Schwarzkopf or something like that hair glue Soap: - Dove bars Cologne (rare times we go out): - Armani something or other Toothpaste: - Whatever's up at Costco So, nothing too fancy, just what works. Didn't that "other detailing forum" start a detailing the man site???
