The thing that they missed on the 3 car washes was the cars were clean before they went through. In real life situations they will be even worst since they will be rubbing all that grit into the paint. I will never forget I went to a Car Wash once because the weather was so bad and I was desperate. My neighbor also uses it religiously and to my amazement his cars look pretty good. Well thank god there was a car in front of me. I watched them pull a broom out of a big 50 gallon bucket that was full of BLACK water and start rubbing every panel on the mini van in front of me while the car was dry. Needless to say I could not get the car in reverse quick enough. I am guessing in the summer when cars are not as dirty and they do not need to use the pre wash brush it "may" be fairly safe but DEFINITELY not in the winter. I am actually amazed at how few swirls my neighbors car has and this is all he uses. It is a brushless car was and probably the best out there as far as automatic car washes go but still a definite NO NO for me. I have noticed that after a few years now his cars are starting to look pretty swirled up. My guess is most of this damage happens in the winter. Whenever I think of a car wash I always think of a friend of mine who ran her mint black Pontiac Grand Prix through the wash and somehow a lead fishing weight and some fishing line got caught up in the spinning brush, probably from the car before her since she was the only one to get the damage thaqt day according to the station. It put a million little dents down the entire one side of the car. NOT pretty. They did pay to have it fixed but still not a good thing. I would have been beside myself.
