    Hey All,

I have searched and couldn't find quite the answer I was looking for. I was wondering what your steps are for applying Collinite 476 to the car. I am going to use it by hand with a yellow applicator pad (also have some Zymol Wax App). The wax seems really hard...just wondering if I should put it under the halogens for a bit to warm it up. How long should I let it sit on the panel before wiping? Really hoping for everyone's personal opinion.

Thanks, really learning a lot here :)

476 isn't as easy to apply and remove as 845. Personally, I would rub the wax until it's got a layer of "liquid" on top that you can dab your applicator in. Don't let it sit more than about a minute.

Been having the same scenario also, so i applied the 845 first since it goes on so easy and comes off so easy. Then i go back over with the 476s, works just like the 845 that way.I know of the extra step involved, but that extra step means something to the client as well as to me.

Interesting...should I dampen the pad as well like other waxes?

It is not a difficult wax to use by any stretch of the imagination; it will spread pretty well and as long as you use thin applications, will remove just as easily. I normally let it sit for 30 minutes in most cases and I have never had an issue with removal, but it does come off slightly easier if you apply and remove in quick succession.

Dry pad is fine; once your pad is loaded with product, it will spread easily and go a long way.
