Well I had gotten to try the Bilt Hamber Clay when my boy Cooter hooked me up with some. I really love this clay and as I was about out I figured time to give my good ol' pal Ben at Rubbish Boys an order. I love dealing with Ben as his customer service is top notch and if he recommends something to me I have all the confidence in the world that it will be a great product. Hell he thought I would like Rubbish Boys OE and I more than liked it, I LOVED it.

Well I had been wanting to try some of the Bilt Hamber line and knew I wanted the clay, and a lot of it. My wife's cousin is married to a Brit so he buys the clay from Ben and sends it to me as an early Christmas present. But I was hoping to give some other products a whirl too. After exchanging pms with Ben I/we settled on the following products along with the clay from wifey's cousin in law (guess that's what you would call him):

I got two each of the clays. I'm telling you it is so nice to be able to use water as a lube and the clay stays perfectly intact! I love Riccardo Clay but Bilt Hamber has overtaken it as my favorite. I had used the Regular before and am anxious to try the Soft.

Ben recommended the Auto Balm which I must admit I was really hoping he would because I wanted to try it. However if Ben had said to stay away I would have reluctantly stayed away. Well needless to say it got a great review from Ben so it went in the box. I can't wait to use it and a full review will be on the way as soon as I do! I will tell you that it has a wierd consistency, almost jelly like and has no fancy smells either. Man I can't wait to use this stuff.

We went back and forth on what else to add and after a little debate I said shoot as much as I love Rubbish Boys OE I might as well go ahead and get me another jar of that and Ben was happy to oblige!

So there's my order from Ben (its actually the third order I have made with him, and I expect many many more!) and I can't wait to try out the stuff. Just as a heads up and to show you how happy I am with my Rubbish Boys OE you will be seeing some of my waxes go up for sale here very soon.

Oh and by the way I ordered this stuff on Sunday and it arrived today. Damn 3 days from the UK, you can't beat that with a stick!!!! Heck there are US distributors that can't get it here that fast. The only thing I don't like about my order is that I didn't order more! Thanks a ton Ben and you know I'll be back soon! Oh and be on the lookout as I have a KICK ASS order coming from Pirex at Scandicshine coming soon!:applause2:

No kidding he should because I truely love the stuff.

Nica I've only used the regular and it is more aggressive than Riccardo but nothing like Red Clay Magic. I imagine the soft will be along the lines of Riccardo.

    I love BH's clay too.
I now have 2 of the Soft , and 1 of the Hard version.
I havent used it on straight water, I just mix up a bottle of ONR with a bit of water and it works well.

much better for me as ONR does not leave behind a sticky feel like normal clay lube does, which often requires a new wash/rinse.
so it's 2 steps in 1 for me.

    best clay ever

Thanks guys and buja I can't wait to use the Auto Balm either. Its interesting that you are suppose to apply with a damp applicator. This will be the first time I've ever applied a LSP with a damp applicator.

Great stuff JL and thanks for the order. :headbang:

I would say the regular and soft clay are quite similar in aggressiveness, but the soft being so soft is less likely to marr so I suppose you could say it's less aggressive.

Auto-balm, put it on real thin. Keep the applicator moist, not dripping wet, but moist. Work in small sections apply, then buff straight off. If it's dragging as you are applying it, make the pad wetter. It's got a little nack to applying, but once mastered its easy to use and looks great, especially on swirly cars that you don't want to machine.

    +1 on these two guys.
their findings on products match mine so I trust these more than any detailers.

JL let us know how OE compare to other expensive wax. No presure:p:
