So yeah...I need a new phone :p I had a Sony Ericsson, which I liked because of the long battery life and camera quality but hated for how glitchy and annoying some of the features it had were. But it has finally died, so I'm using my mom's old phone until I am eligible for a free upgrade or whatever from at&t in the middle of this month. I'm 17, and the only things I really care about are durability (I'm a clutz and drop stuff all the time), a good camera phone, and long battery life. And if it is a full keyboard, large keys. I don't have a data plan so that's not really important to me either. Ultimately it will probably depend on what phone I can get for free with the upgrade and what is in the store, but I'm still open to suggestions. I actually want to research what phone I'm getting this time, instead of just walking into the store and saying "hmmm I'll take THAT one."

    Thanks,

    Clark

Sounds like you need a blackberry ( not a torch though lol) , long battery life, pretty solid device, physical keyboard, and the camera is eh. I believe on ATT the starting data plan is $15 for blackberrys. I would suggest getting the blackberry bold. Perhaps even a nokia e71 if extreme functionality and internet browsing is not your biggest concern.

No, as much as I love mine. I be careful and never drop electronics etc. Being glass on the front and back, digitalizer attached to the glass makes the repair crazy... So not a durable phone but definitely top notch.

So, unless you plan on getting a proper case or being careful, i do not recommend a high end phone at all. And it seems like if you don't use data, just dont get a smartphone. As far as regular phones go, you dont have any standout options...

Just get one of those free phones that they offer. It doesn't make much sense to get a smartphone if you're not really going to use it. Most phones these days come with QWERTY keyboards anyway.

my advice would be visit your local at&t store, and play with their phones for a little bit to see what you like the most...there are a lot of surprises out there...

An iPhone 4 would be cool, my mom just got one and she loves it. But I dunno. I'll probably end up messing around in the at&t store until I find one that looks good. Thanks for the suggestions!
