so has anyone been using or testing the surbuf compounding pads for enough time to have any legit feedback on them yet? im thinking about trying them but id rather not waste my time unless they are providing impressive results.

Good call Billy, I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. I'm curious to hear some feedback too.

yeah there was hype and then they just "disappeared". i saw a few of them in person this past weekend and they seem innovative and i guess based on their concept they would work well, but you never know til someone gives first hand input.

i'm hoping phil or dave will chime in. i'm guessing they've been using them.

these are for DA only, correct?

EDIT: additionally i find the product description on phils website to be vague at best in describing their uses and capabilities.

Weather not cooperating with my experiment of suburf on my Mazda soft paint. On my Mercedes it doesn't scratch or marr the paint when I use it for sealant and buffing off lol

A good 90% of all the detailing crap is just hype ... I'm still learning this ... LOL. This is one of the reasons why I'm thinning my gear.

I do have to admit though ... I'm excited about the new flex because of the weight/power ratio. I like the power of my makita, but the weight kills me. That's my I love my DAs.

I picked up some after watching Porscheguy997 (Chris Dasher) demo them at his getogether in Evansville with Jason Rose and again at Nick's in Texas with Mike Phillips. Was impressed at how it allowed a DA to remove sanding marks after cleaning uo some orange peel . My only personl experience is to have taken some scratches and orange peel out on various friends cars. I haven't been dissapointed yet.You are correct that they are not for a rotary. :thumb:
