So within the last 6 hours we have received almost a foot and a half of snow. Too dark to take pictures but I will post some up tomorrow. Anyone else feeling the brunt of this monster of a storm?
It is to the point where i can no longer see my car, and we just went into a blizzard warning until 5 am.
we're supposed to get a buttload of snow up here but nothing yet, i have something scheduled for 2morrow so hopefully it holds up till then
Chas, thats insane. The most snow I've ever seen in my life is 6 inches and that was about 20 years ago. So, I couldnt even imagine that. Forget dirty bombs. Drop a foot of snow in the south and you'll have the same effect!
Google Buffalo, NY... January 1977. 76 inches in 76 hours. :yikes: I got out at around the 15 inch mark. The Interstates were already closed but there wasn't anyone at the toll booths to stop me. Traffic was kinda light. It's winter, happens every year. We don't have hurricanes wipe us out every couple of years, earthquakes or million-acre wildfires. Have a 4-wheel drive and a snowblower... no surprises. ::::shrug::: TL
We have 25" here and the wind is blowing pretty hard. Suppose to get another 5-10 inches before it stops tonight. It was cool the first time this happened in December but 2 times in one season for this area is a little crazy.
outside in rear deck. not much fun can be had in this weather with FWD. i tried to drive gf home and i couldnt make too far out of driveway. backed up on driveway and luckly snow plow came right after 18" dads cr-v looks like landrover now
Wow. We got rain all night that switched over to snow. More snow in the forecast for us Monday. I hope you guys have enough food for a couple of days.
I just measured 30 inches in my backyard and the snow is coming down just as hard. I am going outside to shovel soon so pics are soon to come.
Yep - those DelCo pictures above (thanks Misha) is close to what it looks like here too. Heard that our friends southeast from here (Delaware, MD, VA, etc.) caught the worst of this storm - but we've had our fair share it seems. Be safe out there if you have to travel at all today, everyone affected.
Alright so here are some pictures. I figured while I was out why not polish the car? I think snow will suffice as an abrasive enough polish don't you? I thought I would start with an LC black pad to see what kind of cut I could get. This is what being inside too long does to you. Just checking to make sure the surface hasn't gotten too hot, I would hate to burn through. Onto the actual pictures of the blizzard of 2010 which until this minute continues to rage on... The house There is a street here somewhere Neighbors Winter sucks with a new car...Looks like the velocity red is melting the snow haha There is an Infinite FX35 underneath that blob in front of me...
