    Hey guys,
I am playing with the idea of accepting credit cards from my customers. I was looking at the ones that connect to my iPhone or iPad. nothing really jumped out at me so i was wondering if you guys are accepting credit cards and if you are what systems are you using? Thanks for all the help!

I use squareup as well, low fees, free reader, free software and easy to use.

I use Square as well. I've never actually had a detailing customer pay with credit card though. I have used it through an organization I'm involved with at school. Really easy to use. Free to set up, lots of features, and the rate is only like 2.75%, which is lower than paypal.

I use square up when I need to...really don't have to many people insist on using credit cards so I don't use it much but I have had no problems with the Square app on my droid, the swipe, or getting money into my account.

Always good to have just in case.

Square is the ish. Been using it for a while with no issues. It's nice to have the option available for your customers to pay with a credit card if they want to.

It really doesn't get anymore simple then Square.

    Bump with another system:

    It's called Pay Anywhere.

I spoke with an employee of the parent company (North American Bancard) last Friday. He tells me Pay Anywhere is better than Square as the reader is a bit easier to use, the customer service is far better (can talk to a fluent English speaking person (not just a call center in SE Asia or India), and the use fee is slightly better too.

Compared to Square he says Pay Anywhere is a tech product coming from a merchant CC processing center. Whereas Square is a CC processing center stemming from a tech company. I guess that illustrates the point that Pay Anywhere knows this business well.

And yes, the reader device is free.

You can get up to $1,000 in processing free for the first month if you sign up through the following link:

For those who use these types of services, are the customers receptive to it? in the know? or a little leery about the tech?

My stylist uses Square, never had an issue and it sends me a receipt via text or email soon after.
