I have some new rims on the way for my ride and need to buy some new rubber to wrap them with. So for $60 discount tire will warrant all four wheels for the life of the tire... What's your take, is it worth it? Below is an excerpt from their site with details
I dont see why they wouldn't honor it. From what I see in my area all tire stores have some type of road hazzard warranty and take care of it without any problems. Just check and see if there is a pro-rated section on the tires, most tire shops pro-rate tires after certain mileage or time. Ours at the dealership is up to one year the tire is free and after that it is a 50/50 split for the next year after that.
Generally, premiums for extended warranties and of such are calculated by an algorithmto where the insuring company/business will be profitable. So my thoughts have always been to decline the insurance/warranty if it is something I can afford to fix out of pocket if an incident were to occur. Mathematically, insurance/warranty is always a loss in the long run.
It's a bit of a crapshoot: my buddy who sits next to me at work got it and paid a few dollars for it. He went hunting and had his trailer ready to go, then he saw during lunch at he had a nail in his tire. They replaced it for free, didn't pay a cent. His tires were on the way out anyways, so he ended up profiting from it.
