its 65 and sunny out right now (thank you global warming), and after a very brutal winter thus far, i finally got the chance to give my GTI a much needed bath. also tried out some new stuff...briggs and stratton pressure washer, home depot foam cannon, raceglaze wash mitt and snow foam, autowerkes exclusive APC, and autoglym vinyl and rubber. oh and i tried out these waffle weave microfibers i got from pep boys. they ROCK for cleaning glass. they're actually labeled as drying towels, but they're the same size as a normal MF.

this was after simply pressure rinsing. no brushes, no wheel cleaner. wheels were coated with colli 845 before winter, and i havent washed them since. hmmm...

new foam lance setup. yeah its long but it'll do for now.

raceglaze snowfoam (50ml) and autowerkes exclusive APC (1oz):

oh and for those that didnt catch my rant about this some time ago. this is the result of my girlfriends mother taking it upon herself to remove snow from my car with a plastic bristled broom a month or so ago. the whole car is like this now

its nice getting all that winter junk off ya car doesnt it lol
its sunny outside but its still cold so I dont think i'll turn on my taps again since we're expecting snow again in the next couple of days. As much as I'd love to try out my foam cannon, I need to do a few things first lol

yeah it was a nice day of leisurely detailing. i did clean the wheels with autoglym CWC after pressure rinsing them. the picture i just put up to demonstrate how nicely 845 works on wheels.

    like your new avatar BTW.

Thanks........ all my furniture is Troy Industries, Battle proven and great product and serivce, that and Kyle Lamb at Vtac. My next set up is the Troy EBR, and the Keltec KSG at the end of the year. I swear im done then LOL

yeah, CWC is awesome too. i just hate the weak sprayers they come in. Simple fix. I like CWC more then CG citrus and Diablo

yeah its the home depot one. its not bad for the money. i have to play around with it more to see if i can get my "sticky" foam. this was my first time using it, so im not sure if the foam was runny because of the foam cannon itself is low quality, or because i mixed the raceglaze snowfoam with APC.

about the weight tape, yeah im working on it. not going to bother with that until the spring, when i'll be installing suspension.

agreed troy makes a good product. im going to be replacing my BUIS with a troy unit at some point, and i'll definitely be using their battle sights on my next build.

custom wheel cleaner is my favorite go to wheel cleaner. not sure about the sprayers, as ive only ever used it in a 32oz bottle with foaming sprayer.

thanks man. the autoglym dressing is pretty good. it was my first time using it. its very thin and runny though. i sprayed it onto a foam tire dressing app and applied it, and it was still running on the tire a little bit, but you just have to work it in, or buff off the excess. i used it on my plastic lowers as well.

yeah, i ended up buying a foamer spray head from USP and it works excellent. Im debating if I use enough CWC to buy it in bulk since I only use it on my Sti.

my BUIS are Magpul, like the deployment better. Check them out. But my rail and "flash hider are troy" stock is VLTOR. send me a pm of you build if you have one currently.

if i were you i would pick up a 5L from ken at autowerkes exclusive. his price on it is the cheapest you'll find and shipping prob wont be so bad for you since youre in cali and hes right over the border to the north. shit im in PA and its worth it to buy it from him.

i have a magpul BUIS as well. i'll PM you a link to a thread i started here.

i havent used his clay yet, although i plan to try it out. his yellow clay is supposedly very similar to riccardo.
