I want to buy my first real sealant. I was thinking about werkstat AJ trigger, but i have just about no knowledge when it comes to sealants and wanted your opinions. ease of application is pretty important to me and of course so is the look.

    thanks for your help guys.

Werkstat is nice on whites and silvers but doesnt add a ton for dark cars. For the best overall look and durability go with powerlock, just gets the job done right with easy use:thumb:

Blackfire Wet Diamond is a good base for a carnauba.

I'm currently looking for a replacement to Jetseal 109.

With a dark grey car, would Collinate 845 or Powerlock look better? Which has the better durability?

    Thanks :)

I think 845 looks better on black. I did two black cars last week with Powerlock and wasn't overly impressed with it - on black. I think Colli 845 leaves a deeper, wetter look on black whereas Powerlock is brighter.

Thanks mate, ever use Blackfire? I hear a lot of good things on that as well - was wondering if it has a good rep with darker colors.

Have you tried Sonax Nanotechnology Liquid Wax. Has a really really crisp nice look, and is NOT at all greasy. It's titled a wax, but it's mostly synthetic.

+1. Apply with a PC. Give it a good wait before removing. 30 minutes or so. I also apply it to the glass.

My rcommendations are either that or 845. 845 is awesome. For price and durability it can't be beat.

have blackfire and i like it but i just replaced it with powerlock. blackfire takes too long to haze. powerlock is super easy to apply vic the PC, takes minutes to haze and super easy to buff off. 845 is pretty good i have to use it more to determine what its strong qualities are

I'm waiting to try powerlock until the durability results come in. It seems around here that sealants are just a flavor of the week type thing. I'm not sold on powerlock yet. Just because of FMJ.
