Hello all, I'm sending out a feeler for anybody needing graphic design help, and also for any help / advice you may have for a new to freelance graphic designer. My girlfriend has been working in graphic design for the National Academies of Sciences for the last 6 years. She has been working towards branching out into her own business, however due to downsizing, her freelance timeline has been moved up significantly! So if anyone needs some graphic design work done, or has any tips or advice for her / us whatsoever , it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Greg
Does your girlfriend have a portfolio of some of her work available online? My clients occasionally are looking for graphics design help. Has the girlfriend investigated in some of the online freelancing tools like Elance. The sites are filled with garbage jobs looking for people willing to work for a few dollars an hour, but they also have great opportunities if you're willing to build your reputation and sift through the options. I started using these sites to fill in my unused hours and have ended up finding some great long term clients.
That's good info, thanks for the tips! I didn't know about elance. She does have a portfolio so hopefully that'll help.
