Hi guys. Decided to clean my Dad's newly acquired Mitsubishi Delica 2.8 TD 4x4 as the weather was better for once. :D
I don't know if you guy get these in the States but this beast has a Mitsubishi Pajero/Shogun chassis and 4x4 system.
It had already been polished by the look of the beading, but the lad that sold us it worked as a salesman at a Vauxhall dealership and I suspect it had been cleaned by the 'valeting' monkeys there as there was THE most thick and gunky tyre shine on the tyres.
I will be machine polishing this beast when Summer arrives, so no paint prep products were used.
No 'befores', this vehicle is huge and I wanted to make good use of the time that the sun was out.
    Products used:
    - Washed with Turbowax Car Shampoo.
    - Bonnet finished with Dodo Juice Rubbishboy's Juiced Edition
    - Waxed with Aristoclass Premium Wax
    - Wheels cleaned with Voodoo Ride Shoq Wheel and Tyre Cleaner
    - Tyres protected with Voodoo Ride Hypd Tire Finish
    - Exterior plastics treated with ValetPRO Protectant.
    - Glass treated with Mer Rainaway

Here's a 50/50 shot of the wing after (left is after) I used the Aristoclass Premium Wax I got sent to test. Up to now, it's worth every penny of its £62 price tag. It's meant to last up to 7 months.
Look how well it covers up the swirl marks and deepens the paintwork. I was blown away tbh:doublesho

And another, Right is after using it.

50/50. The plastics on Delica's are notorious for fading. ValetPRO Protectant used neat worked brilliantly :thumb:

The rear step. 50/50 after using Protectant:

I had to scrub all the tyres to remove the horrible thick stuff that had been used previously. I then used Voodoo Ride Hypd Tire Finish. Leaves a lovely deep finish and is non-sticky. Wheels and tyres were cleaned with Voodoo Ride Shoq Wheel and Tyre Cleaner, a safe wheel cleaner. Left a nice bright finish to the alloys.

All finished. Some nice reflections going on. :thumb:

Nice work, I bet dad was happy. Is that a Jap import?

Thanks. Yep it was imported in 2001 I think. It's in excellent condition as all the Jap Mitsubishi's seem to be :thumb:

Cool. More and more of those are turning up out here. Gotta be half a dozen of them running around out little town.

It's a 1995 Mitsubishi Delica 2.8 Turbo Intercooled Diesel. It has the same chassis and running gear/SuperSelect 4x4 system as the Pajero/Shogun.
It's got 8 seats, stacks of Torque and will go most places off road:thumb:
The seats in the back all turn sideways/backwards and into a double bed if you want. The very back seats fold up onto the inner sides of the Delica so you then have a HUGE trunk space.
They are all Jap imports and usually arrive into the U.K/Europe in near-perfect condition as Japanese yearly vehicle checks are strict beyond belief.
For a 15 year old vehicle it has some very cool features such as full climate control for the rear passengers. They can put the air to blow at leg, body or face height. They can have it as cold or hot as they want and can even put full air con through to the back.
It even has front wiper blade de-icers for the winter conditions. It also has an inclinometer to show you what angle you are are when off roading up a hill or whatever.
Here's some interior shots. Sorry for the quality, they were off my iPhone.
