So on Friday, November 27th, a group of friends and I decided to go for a cruise up to Mt. Baker and have some fun in the snow and possibly sled a little. It was a gorgeous drive! Save for a couple icy spots, the roads were clear -- it was nothing our superior AWD systems couldn't handle though Some of these pictures are from my D60, some from Paul's 7D, and some from Bryan's 20D. 7am Wash for my car 7:30AM Wash 'n Wax for Paul's Car Then we meet up with the other car and grab some coffee and drive up. Not many driving pictures. Halfway up Made it up We're all kinda camera junkies, so lots of pictures of DSLR pron Paul's new 7D Bryan's 20D he just bought from Paul Bryan's Mega-zoom Gorgeous view! Sledding frame by frame! Bryan's wipeout approval Silly Bird Getting ready to head back down Back in town, HIDs on Bryan's car It was a great drive and a great day for some fun in the snow.
Nice pics! I wish I could shoot pics like that. I think it's funny when people load up the car with stickers of stuff they have on/in the car. It's like a shopping list for people who wanna steal your stuff. I wouldn't be surprised that when it gets broken into someday, that there are going to be checkmarks next to each of the stickers to make sure they got everything.
The owner of the RS is incredibly anal about how he stores/keeps and protects his car. It's kept in a locked garage with a security system and cameras. When we're out and about he hardly lets it out of his view. He has a very redundant alarm system with paging and GPS tracking. It's pretty nuts, but he loves it.
He has a crazy swapped ready to go for it -- but no time with his insane work schedule. The suspension in it is already nuts, it just needs more zoom!
EJ257. Sleeved to a 2.7L. LOL. I think he's going to put a smaller turbo on it for insane quick spool and response. He doesn't want high numbers, just a fun car for Auto-X and mountain runs. It's not his DD.
This thing is gonna be an auto x monster! If I were older I would do about the same thing. As you can tell from my screen name, I am a Subaru fanboy haha. GC8 is my absolute favorite, but there aren't enough good ones to buy. I also can't afford to have a project car right now. I'm aiming for an MR2 SW20 turbo now.
Awesome! Yeah, we're pretty much the only local subaru modders who aren't ricing out to hell and know what we're doing. Just a small handful of us. The silver wagon has a VF34 and is just a hair slower than me. The guy with the GC8 is bringing a v6 spec RA over to be his new track @#$#@
Man, when I can comfortably afford things like that, I could easily pass on a porsche or Ferrari to be 16 years old again.
The roar of 3 modded subarus up a mountain is a wonderful thing! I wish we had a soundclip of it. Mine is definitely the loudest, haha.
Cool pictures, that picture of the bird looked good, capturing pictures of snow is actually a bit tough, it's not as easy as you'd think. Getting that white balance is tricky sometimes.
VF34, APS TMIC and all the other bells and whistle that goes with that setup, open source tune by ECS Performance. JDM STI pink springs with Koni inserts, Cusco sway bars and strut bars and F/R lower braces, Whiteline ALK anda few of their bushings. Volk CE28N wheels, Cusco lip and spec c roof vent. I havea buch of other stuff done to the car, just to much to list, haha. here's a couple pics, click on the pics to make them bigger
