Well, I was in the market for a new wax so I decided to make my first order with Phil@Detailers Domain. It was actually a total of three different orders in a 24 hour span since I have a hard time deciding what I actually wanted. On a side note, his customer service was/is exceptional!

Very nice order, Adams car wash is some good stuff which reminds me that I ran out a while back. It produces the perfect amount of suds IMO.

Thanks guys! I used the 4" CCS pads yesterday on the wifes Hummer and I am very impressed. I felt like I had so much more control and awareness from the smaller pads compared to the 6 1/2" CCS pads. Heck, they were even easier to clean. I can tell they have more bite to them vs. the larger pad.

That's why most of us here detail only with 5 to 6inch pads. I personally like the control that the smaller pads offer...as you just found out :chest:

Damn I was going to order the Wheel Brush tonight... oh well. I guess I'll have to wait, buy my EZ Detail Brush and PBW Spray and Rinse are on the way.

I thought smaller pads were suppose to have less bite because the velocity of the pad compounds as you get farther from the center axis.

It really depends on the type of machine you're using. With rotaries, you'll have less bite with smaller pads but more bite with the DA.
