No pics of front at the time but it's just as crowded with stuff.
The traffic drives me insane at times with headlights flashing in the windows.

haha this would be a good thread for everyone to post your local crazy xmas persons setup...I will have to take a picture of the person near me and post it up. I think it might outdo this one.

good god..........There some old people where I live that have the most hodge podge going on.....

For me its about having a clean install, the white icicles looks like shit if ask me, like someone threw lights at a house and just left them.

this is my set up, Blue LED ropes hidden under the eves, and some wrapped around my two palms...... simple and effective.

first one isn't bad. I used to work with my father who owns a decoration company. We once decorated a 4 million dollar house with over 70, 000 bulbs...and none were LED. The owner had to have a complete second electric panel put in just for the decorations. There was a 40 foot train in the front, a life size Santa sled with 6 reindeer taking off into the sky, 2 dozen 20 foot pine trees with lights all the way up. Giants lit-up gifts, mechanicals elves and deer all over the place. not to mention four 6 foot wreaths and every window/door trim was covered in "tree branch" material with lights. It actually made the papers here. If I could find the article, I'd post it. It took us 2 weeks to complete the project, and it cost the owner...wait for it....17 thousand dollars, for ONE YEAR rental install and tear down included. Electricity not included.

There is some decent cash to be made doing light installs........

That's some money right there. If someone told me that I would spend 17k one year on Christmas lights at some point in my life, I would laugh in their face til I was blue in the face.

LOL! Well, the guy was a multi millionaire so it wasn't much for him. His wife was bugging him about not ever putting up decorations for Christmas...so one year, he got fed up and went all out. I have taken my retirement from that...considering I have 15 years experience in it and I'm only 25. I just do my little things around my house, thats it.

Forgot to mention, my neighbor told me five years ago he has a separate meter turned on only for December and powers the outside lights and his bill is 1,000 for the month. And I know electric has raised its rates since then.

LOL....... never thought about it that way......... ok. 8.00 cover charge, and the line starts to the right of the door.

I got tired of having to string lights every year, and pretty much everyone on my street does the same thing. For me it was about doing something different........someone called it the Miami Vice house, and I was told it looked like the star ship enterprise.

Well I finally got my lights up after listening to my wife harping on me to get them up. I just don't get it though I did like she asked and now she won't even talk to me, go figure...women.

That's awsome. I find it even more awesome that you have electric underneath there.
