Before you start reading, think about every single possible action cliche you've ever seen. Now think of a turd, and put those 2 together and you get Ninja Assassin. ***Contains minor spoilers*** 1. I had some hope for the movie, but it is just downright stupid. It has the classic good young struggling student, and the powerful evil one who betrays the master and then the good one seeks revenge. Ok, I've only seen that about 1,000 times, which isn't terrible, but this movie follows it to a T. Like disturbingly. 2. ALMOST EVERY FIGHT SCENE IS IN THE DARK. Most of them start out by "cutting the lights" and then shaky camera, shadows moving in the dark and getting killed with tons of stupid CGI blood coming out. Wasn't good gore either, almost all of the kills were you don't see the actual attack, just the person's back, blood spurts out, they fall backwards and you see the killer. 3. Half the movie doesn't even make sense. They will just randomly go somewhere, beat the crap out of someone, then leave. Why did they go there in the first place? Even if you just wanna see a fun, everyone gets killed action movie, this one still finds a way to make it unenjoyable. This movie really, really sucked. I could predict everything before it even happened because it was so cliche. I hated every single minute of it, I watched the entire thing hoping it would get better but no. Then, I went online, and read some reviews, expecting terrible reviews but instead there's 14 year old morons posting up TONS OF BLOOD AND GORE 10/10. I thought you guys would like a real review and save your money from renting or going to the movie theater.
Major difference. Got something out of seeing twilight, and after seeing Ninja Assassin I got nothing :giggle:
Saw this movie on opening day. I'm glad I went to the matinee and didn't have to pay full price to see it.
