I made a post a month or so ago discussing how soft the clear was on my customers AMG Black Series. http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum...9774-help-sl65-black-series-softest-paint.htm Well, we have finally got around to working on the beast. Got about 10 man hours of polishing into it and have only finished the hood and 1/2 of one fender. Going to take a while, as it is our first MAJOR correction and as stated in the attached thread, a brand new microfiber will scratch this clear so we have to be extremely careful during the correction. More to come. -Kody-
Typically it's PPGs ceramiclear, but this car doesn't. Any time you have a carbon fiber substrate the vehicle is sent to a different facility to be painted. -Kody-
Nice job.... so is this car going to be placed in a cubicle that has no dust, contamination, and no human contact for the next few decades? I hope it does because that is ALOT of time to polish a hood and half a fender.
It typically sits in my customers mancave will some other toys, when I do the writeup I'll include some pics of the warehouse. Hoping that with the application of opti-coat it will be easier to maintain. -Kody-
