I love my Nevr kink hoses. But they aren't light if you ask me.

well right now i'm running a Good Year Premium Rubber Hose. It ran me about $30-$35 here in hawaii so it is probably a little less expensive in the mainland. It is a great heavy duty hose. This hose has been in use since i started my business and i have never had issues with it. The hose is reinforced and has a burst rate of about 500 psi. So it would take a hell of a lot of pressure to blow the hose. It has crush resistant fittings which in my case have been ran over several times and are still pretty much in tact.

Not to mention the hose i have has a life time warranty but who warranties a water hose?

    Weight about 1o lbs

time in use: 4+ years issue free.

    purchased from: Home Depot

had that recoil hose and it didn't last worth a crap. thing sprung leaks and just wasn't durrable at all. If the choice was mine i would opt for the hose i recommended but out of the 2 hoses that you listed i would hands down take the gilmour.

Nevr kink is lifetime warrantied and available at Lowes. I should have mentioned that.

The best hoses I've had have been rubber ones. I find that the "Never-Kink" style hoses eventually start to kink as they age. Rubber hoses are nice and flexible, so when it does kink, it's easy to fix. I really like mine - I think it's the same Goodyear one as posted above, or certainly very similar to it.

Never occurred to me to get a better hose. Spent an annoyingly large amount of time unkinking the hose to regain water pressure last time I used it. Gonna go pick up that Goodyear one tomorrow. Damn it! Mo' money out the door:(

having the correct tools makes the job a little quicker and allows you to be work more efficiently and thorough.

It will be a good investment . . . . especially if you don't have to replace it

Goodyear rubber hose is great. Had a never kink before that and it didn't last me a month. Granted, I left it attached to a running faucet in the sun w/ the gilmour attached. It blew out about 2ft from the gun after sitting in the sun for 30mins.

Weird. Mine sits out most of the time so it's definitely weather beaten!
