Being a detailer in Canada has a few issues. Luckily we have websites like Eshine and Autoobssessed to feed out addictions and to save us the duties.

I'm a firm lover of using Amazon, and when I see the how much more the ".com" has over the ".ca" We probably don't even have half the items offered on the ".com"!

It also turns out that they won't ship many of the things to Canada due to "Warranty issues and manufacturer restrictions"

I was looking at this item:Amazon.com: Meguiar's Complete Car Care Kit: Automotive

What a steal of a deal, the plastX, Scratch X, and clay kit would be that price!

You guys should jump on this! The ones that can.

I'm not sure where you live but i order 100% of my product from the US. Its always a lot cheaper and a way better selection. I never had a warranty issues. I normally ship to a mail box just across the border and go and pick stuff up. If i can help you let me know. Now i'm going to jump on that amazon deal you recommended! :)

I hear you astro. This summer will be my first with premium detailing products. After I get all my supplies, I believe my sum total comes to around $1000 in detailing supplies. Ohh what a dent the wallet suffers. That kit is such a steal for $40. I have a lot of those products from when I used to use OTC products. I always jumped on the canadiantire sales for Meguair's stuff but it added up to quite a bit as well. Kyoshiro says you're from Edmonton too. Cool! Have you been detailing for a long time?

Too bad Edmonton wasn't closer to the border, otherwise it would be handy shipping to a mailbox and picking it up. I did some quotes for orders from detailersdomain before and the shipping prices were scary. In the end after I added all the fees, it came out to similar pricing compared to Canadian sellers. I did however get an order in from Phil a while back since my buddy was visiting from the states and I got him to bring the stuff over, duty and shipping free. I guess for me ordering from the states would be an option only if I want something that isn't available here in Canada, but I look for alternatives.

    M3ride. Wax on..Wax off

I am from Canada as well. But I order from both Canada and the US no biggie. The duty costs are not that bad IMO. And I need my Uber sponges!

For me atleast, i can't justify paying extra shipping and duties to get some of these products. ".com" definitely trumps the ".ca" though! I love Amazon, i don't ever walk into a book store anymore. I am highly considering buying an Ipad now too, just so i don't have to buy books :p

Yea, I'm from Edmonton also, good to see another detailer from here! :)

Gold class soap use to be $14 at Canadian Tire. For some odd reason they bumped the price up to $20 when you could still get it for $8-10 stateside. I use to pick it up 50% off for 7$. Excellent value, I've since ran out and regret not getting more.
