Had good time yesterday at Champion Submission Tournament. I had 5 guys f that I coach sign up and myself. They all competed in the 6 months and under divsion and tree of the guys ended up in the same weight class. My little bro ended up getting third, but kind of sold him self short in the semi's and lost focus for a few seconds and ended up getting tsppd out. The kid who got him took first pretty easy but man he had him. Then all my other guys ended up getting some wins but didn't make it into medal rounds. I was in a an absolute division no weight classes, kind of like the who's who of the tournament. I got lined up with a guy who has been fighting MMA for 8 years and been doing B.J. for over 15. I gave him heck and tried get him, He got really tired but ended up getting out of all the holds I tied. Caught me in what he called a gator jaw. I tried to get out of it but once the lights flashed a couple time I thought it was time to tap. Your promised to matches in the tournament but if you lose in the absolute then you can't medal. The next match I got a really light guy sunk a front choke and arched back, not use to guys that light normally I'm one of the lightest in the absolute and this guy was only about 140 lbs. Anyway they are easy to pick up compared to the 240 lbs guys. I ended up winning the second match but the guy really shouldn't of been in that division. He had goone out in his first match and I almost had to do the same, but he wised up and tapped before going out. Good day but I think I broke my toe again. 2 time in the last 2 tournaments. I like the set up they run no points, no time limits you just go until someone wins.
