1Z Proline polishes?

Hey everyone. Looking to try something other than Poorboy's SSR polishes. I've had my eye on Einzett Proline, since they are very reasonably priced. And with Phil's 25% off sale, what better time than now to try something new?

Problem is, is I want something that will perform. I use a PC7424, but recently acquired use of a Makita 9227 rotary. Haven't had practice on it yet.

Should I get the 1Z Proline kit (the 3 1L bottles), or spend the bunch extra on Menzerna? Anyone compare the 2 before? If it's just subtle things, I'll be happy with the 1Z. Or I could mix and match. SIP seems really expensive compared to the rest, so maybe there is something to substitute in it's place, and get menz power gloss, and final finish or something.

I guess I'm making sure that the einzett kit is a safe bet for results.

    Thoughts please.

    Thanks!

    Pete

just found a thread on the 1z polishes.

From what I read, they work well with both rotary and RO. They are comparable to Menz, with the added advantage that they are not as temp/humidity sensitive.

Still would like to hear other's thoughts if they have used these polishes.

If you really want to try them, call the local distributor for samples. I believe the free samples were .5oz (pick only 2) while the $5 shipped to you samples (all 3) are 5oz or something :thumb:

I still have yet to use my $5 samples of all 3 though...

If/ when I try new polishes, the 1z line will be next. Id think 1z polishes would be better with the PC then Menz because you are supposed to use them at a lower speed? Thus they are easier to break down. I feel like its pretty easy to under work the Menz polishes on the PC which leads to "filling."

Placed the order with Phil yesterday.

That sounds like the perfect polish for me then, since the majority is still PC7424. And while practicing with a rotary on lower speeds.

From my brief experience of using the 1z Proline polishes with the Metabo, I find this statement to be true so far. I still have quite a bit of 1z left for further testing but up to this point in time I have found the 1z polishes don't work too great at higher speeds on a rotary. It seems to dry up pretty fast, similar to SSR's behavior, which is undesirable for me.

We'll see how it goes comes this winter. I'll be out of classes in two weeks and should have more time to thoroughly test the 1z Proline polishes along with many other products that are "to be tested".

Anyone use the 1z polishes in cold weather?

Yep, especially when working on plastic parts.

What would you define as cold? It only seems to get in the 40's to 50's around my area and that's usually during the late nights. During the day it's generally in the high 50's to 60's.

Since I probably wont be doing any detailing if its in the 30's, Id say 40's and 50's.
