Chrysler plans to exit leasing business

    someone like my dad drives 50,000 miles a year so buying and selling yearly gets costly

    Well if you consider 50k wore out then I guess.....

    If it hasnt had any major issues or caused you alot of down time I just dont see making a change a necesity. Wanting a new vehicle every year is another topic.....

    That's just the lease term we choose. We'd rather go with a 3-year lease rather than a 4-year or 5-year. Often times we get our lease vehicles with no money down and just pay the monthly payments, which often times you can not do with a purchase vehicle.

    We always strive to keep our assets liquid and instead of that money going to a down payment on a purchase, it goes to the several monthly payments on a lease which can be fully written off. It's just one of the perks of being self-employed. Plus if the economy changes (as it currently has been), you won't be stuck with higher monthly payments as you sign for the new lease.

    For a personal business it most definately makes sense. For personal use I just dont get it.....
