let me know guys I have these here for $139.95. http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/f28/feeler-gb-infratech-cm5300-1482.html
Its coming! (TWSS) I think Im going to keep it for now, Ill put it into action a couple of times and see if its something Im going to use on a continuous bases its better! Thanks for bringing this up, I ll have to look into it. In the past I didnt find white/lighter lights to show imperfections as well, but I may have to give this one a shot Why do you say that its overbandwidth? The pics are coming up fine for me? :shead: Nice comparo! :headbang: Thats a great price! Less than what I paid for it! If you dont want to drop the cash on a SG, jump on this!
I'm not sure a comparison of the different lights on the market based on brightness alone is a good benchmark in judging the light’s ability to show swirls in paint. In addition to the brightness of the light given off by different light bulbs, the color of the light given off can vary significantly. I’m not an expert on light but I do know the color of light greatly affects the way something is seen by the human eye. Instead of comparing lights by seeing how bright they look when shined on a wall I would love to see how they look when shined on the same panel of swirly paint. For the purpose of detailing I think that would be the real test. :meditation:opcorn:
I think it has to do more with the light's kelvin spectrum than light output...the ideal light is that of the sun's light which is 5300K...so thats the light temp you want to mimic the sun light.... here is a reference chart to color temps...its not how bright..just the right temp... Kelvin Color Temperatures AL
fminus i have another light for you to compare against the sungun https://www.fenix-store.com/product_info.php?cPath=87&products_id=412 i want a review in the next few days!
I tried to find the color temperature given off buy the different lights mentioned. As far as the Brinkmann and Fenix go I could not find any color rating given in their specifications. The 3M Sun Gun and Infratech CM5300 are a follows: 3M Sun Gun - 4700K Infratech CM5300 - 5300K (hence the name CM5300 I guess) I think the color of the light given off does play an important roll in what we see. Again I would love so see some comparisons of the different lights on swirly paint where the only thing that changed in the picture was the light being used. Maybe the next time Phil is detailing a swirly car he will be kind enough to do some comparison pictures for us.
Very good points indeed, I will have to take more pics with it on a car.. Thanks for the comments!!!!! :applause2:
oh ya saw those, the Fenix does look brighter. i wanted to see comparisons while looking for paint defects. Look forward to the update.
Yes, it's great. I showed it to 4 friends detailers and they bought it immediately, and all them had the Brinkmann.
I don't sell any flashlight. I bought it @ Fenix Store and I'm from Spain. My friends also bought it from there. I don't understand your . Do you think that I'm a commercial from Fenix or something similar? Now I'm not sure about placing the comparison. I have it and I love it, this is enough for me, I just wanted to share this with DB.
