The only bad part about this promotion is that I did not get the word out to the homeless. I'll make sure I do next time.

There's only been one time I didn't tip well. But I sat with an empty wine glass for 15 minutes. Waitress walked by 4 times. After the first time, I put my glass at the edge of the table. For a dinner in excess of 150 bucks, you'd think they would hire more attentive wait staff.

On the bill, I only left a 5% tip.

Dude, 20% is too much. 10% is ok, but again, only if they deserve it...If you tip them @20%, they might make up to $200 a day in just tips along, and that's for each waitress. Plus, the money restaurant pays them... I think it's too much... Again, maybe its just me... But I always look at the cost, what it costs me, and what benefit it gives me, not someone else...If I'd benefit everyone, I'd be driving a Cavalier, instead of RL.
I hardly ever go out to restaurant to eat, and usually when I do, I order food to go, so I don't have to tip them, and I can eat in front of TV.
To me it is a problem to give out $10 tip, on a $50 meal, I think there goes a bottle of 1Z soap...I'm not cheap, I spend my money smart. I don't buy $5 soda (which is mostly ice) at movie theater, because I can buy 2 liter bottle at Walmart for $1.50...
Back to the topic, if I eat at a restaurant, and they cook the food to my perfection standards, I'll tip them, but only @10%.

A tip is something that you need to work for. Too many people expect it now. What is with the tip jar when someone is helping you with a to go order? I should tip you for just doing your job? C'mon. I tip 18%-20% when it's deserved.

It is so discusting...wonder how people even eat it...bleu cheese, and Rockstar - the most discusting combo ever...Rockstar tastes like an unbrushed mouth/teeth rinsed with overcarbonated Redbull...Totally gross!:gross:

True that. If they are very helpful, very careful, and get you exactly what you want - they deserve it...but if you wait 30 minutes just to be seated, another 20+ for your order to be served, beacuse "they were busy", then forget it...
