How many folks here would be in for a STL meet?

Gas powered RC car = more fun than you can shake a stick at! It's probably been 20 years since I had my own electric RC car. Almost bought another one about 6 or 7 years ago. In fact, I'd buy one now if I could use it to run over all the squirrels around my house. :devil:

 

Just got green light from mama!!! I'm all in!!! Now, let's figure out some logistics. It would probably be best for us to carpool if possible. I can drive the Allroad as it has plenty of space in the cargo area. That is, if it's back from Parktown by this weekend. Post up any products you are looking to try out and we can bring them if we have them. Personally, i'd like to get to know some of the Optimum products a little better. Have ONR and that's about it. Oh, have a couple of their polishes as well. Maybe we could do some trades as well.

We should probably bring our $$$ as well, as I understand Ben is hocking CG stuff now.

I'm thinking we should leave around 10:30ish. I live in South County and we could meet at 255 and Telegraph area. I think that would be shortest route anyway.

 

Hooray for the kitchen pass! Logistics...the shortest route for me via Google maps is to just take 40/64 the whole way. If I were to meet you all at 255 + Telegraph, I'd be making a huge circle that starts in the wrong direction.

Wool pads
Sonus Pads (if Ben has 'em in stock)
Some polish other than Menzerna & SystemOne, like Meg's 105 and 3M UF and definitely Optimum's polishes that u got Jon.

I have a gallon of Optimum's New Formula Car Wash, but that's it.

I forsee a problem though...we're gonna have too many products and not enough surface area to use 'em on.

A lot of the stuff I have, I haven't used yet. I've basically bought specific products for the 4 different cars I'll be doing major details on.

I know I want to pick up a 16oz. bottle of CWG though and possibly some Sonus pads depending on how the trials work out.

This is going to be nuts...you guys may not be able to peel me away from the BBQ.

 

Heck I'm practically on the PSB. I was going to ask BD if he waned to meet up some where and I'd drive. Maybe it would be better for him to ride with you DJ. He's off of Revis if I remember correctly.

I'll bring the RC truck, the pad washer, and my Gilmour foam gun. I'm pretty sure I've got everything everyone else has. Well 'cept for the Dodo Juice. I'll bring the Lime Prime with me.

 

Oh, I'll bring the 7.5" green curved CCS pads. I've got 6.5" Cobra Cross grooves, if anyone wants to try those as well. lmGTO, I know you're in the market for more pads.

 

Heck I need to pick up a new BP too.

 

I can bring some UF and M105 along with the lone LC purple wool pad I bought off of DD. I'll also bring the 4 oz. samples of Optimum Compound and Hyper Compound that I have. Good to know Ben has some Sonus pads, as I've been wanting to try some out.

Also, where exactly is your place located, Ben? I've been asking around and folks say depending upon what part of Belleville you're going to will determine your route. I might end up going through downtown.

Oh, and one more thing, do we need any cold beverages for the afternoon? I have about 4 cases of beer stockpiled in my kitchen walk-in.

Nooooo!!! Damn, I was really looking forward to checking these out. I was about to order some from eShine (to support DB in general), but thought I'd check some out/buy'em over there instead. Do you have some laying around that I could at least check out even if they are used?

Also, what do we need to bring outside of detailing supplies? Should we bring some chips, other snacks for lunch, beverages (non-alcohol)? Just let me know and I can pick some up.

I was talking with a buddy at work who grew up in Belleville and he consulted me to take 255 across JB bridge to 15 to Old St. Louis Rd. which will run me into N Belt W. I'll plan on being there around 11. If anyone wants a lift, just let me know.

Hey, BD, been wondering where the hell you've been!!! I think we're all planning on heading over and arriving at Ben's place around 11ish. I'm going to leave a little after 10 and you know where I live, so you're more than welcome to carpool with me. We can meet somewhere around 270/255 and Telegraph.

Ben is providing some BBQ and we're looking to just try out some different products, see what Ben has to offer at his shop, and just shoot the breeze. i believe I'm on the hook to bring some Meg's M105 and 3M UF.

I should still have your # around here, so I'll try to remember to give you a call tomorrow. I'm sure littlemissGTO will give you a call as well as a backup. Should be a good time.

-2 slabs of ribs and 12 servings of pulled pork, baked beans, and potato salad are ordered

85RD, TAW and Uber MF towels came in from DD today (thanks Phil!). Meg's WB sampler should come tomorrow with some other odds and ends.

I'll throw the extension card in the trunk tomorrow. I'm also going to try to get ahold of a fellow GTO owner that I know needs a massive detail. The car has never been polished before. It's a 2004. Yikes.

 

OK then. Count me in for sure. Let me know what to bring. I just received a new light and I will see if I can get it to mount on the stand tomorrow.
I can bring a rotary if someone wants to try it out and whatever chemicals someone wants to try.
