is that one drying towel enough to do dry the whole vehicle ? or more is needed ? (for both ONR and traditional wash methods ? ) thanks! i love the feel of the blue mf towels. so nice i wouldnt mind rubbing my nuts with it . lol
Hey Carlos, i noticed when you were using the Ulitmate pad it was making kind of a squealing noise. What was causing that, not enough product?
I should have said Carlos, they're best washed first. :sorry: And both the Super Plush towels are double ply towels. Colin, I can dry my car with one of those big towels, for bigger cars two towels wouldn't hurt though.
Ben , your car is a hatchback right ? so for a sedan car (like your MG) , that would be 2 of the drying towels yeah ? and this is without wringing the towel ? hmm...tempting
Yea, the pad was squaling a bit and yes it was becuase I didn't prime the pad approprietly. That and like I said the pressure was being applied direclty on the centre of the pad and around the edges not so much pressure was being distributed....so I would say it was a combo of things. As for using one towel to dry the vehicle, yes I used only this towel to dry the vehicle no need for another one...but I did use the ONR method I wonder how it would perform if the vehicle was washed the traditional way  Ben, I should have know to wash the towels first but I was too eager to wait :giggle:
Yep, it's two layers of microfibre. But it's also mega plush microfibre to start with. I can do my MG with one towel too without needing to wring out.
nice review Nica thanks! How were you able to get a hold of those pads? I have a UK 3m baking plate I got from detailers domain, is it the same one??
Glad you enjoyed it :thumb: There was a member here that wanted to sell the backing plates and I couldn't resist and purchased them from him. Yes, the gray backing plate is prity much the same as the yellow foam backing plate, with the exception that the gray backing plate is much, much softer. If i was too chose just one 3M UK backing plate I would stick to the yellow one, I just can't see the gray one helping out much during compounding. I can understand why 3M UK has designated the gray pad as a Finishing pad...just my :2cents: though.
